I noticed a couple marks on Keith from Hawaii pics near the switch so I wonder if something might be underneath the rotating slider, maybe I am just seeing things. maybe some computer
duster to make sure nothing is in there?
That's why I said, don't press on the ring while unscrewing the top.
I was mashing down on the center part of the protector directly opposite of the side where the opening is while changing batteries. I also just figured out that when turning the protector ring, using your nail on the edge makes it much easier to spin around.

and re rotating ring I have a minor mark in that area but had spotted that within in a hour of receiving it not sure if it was already there or not lol but its tiny so not really worried

Well, a few minutes after I posted that, I heard a knock at the door and had to sign for a package from Romania! At first, I was confused, and thought that while the package said it was Romania, that maybe Mark and Bugs had sent me the wrong item - the package was so small. For some reason the case looked large in pictures, but it is TINY too. I am amazed by how small, and how light, and how well machined this device is. I'll post some pictures later, but I'm just going to enjoy it for awhile.
