Annoying anti stating "You could become addicted to the nicotine that they're using in e-cigarettes" in the promo. I used to cringe when I saw the warning in NRT product that I could "become" addicted to the nicotine in that product. Duh! We are already addicted to nicotine or we would not have been smokers! There is nothing magical about the nicotine in e-cigarettes versus the nicotine in tobacco smoke. Nicotine is nicotine, just like caffeine is caffeine and alcohol is alcohol. If I drink 6 cups of coffee a day, and then switch to Cola, would she say that I could become addicted to the caffeine in the Cola? If I drink a 6 pack of beer a day and switch to a couple glasses of wine, would she say that I could become addicted to the alcohol in wine?

The chemicals are identical. The only thing different is the delivery medium.

The comments were about as ignorant as they can get so I posted one of my own.

For those of you who don't know, there are about 20 million people who have been unable to quit smoking. I just happen to be one of those weak willed people who has been unable to quit for forty years. E cigs have been a life saver for me. The nicotine in second hand vapor is about as dangerous as breathing the caffeine from a hot cup of coffee. So instead of touting your ignorance get informed. Try:

Amazingly, the woman from Breathe New Hampshire claimed that e-cigarette usage might cause youth to begin using other tobacco products.

And yet, there is no evidence of e-cigarette usage by youth, and no evidence of anyone using e-cigarettes before beginning tobacco usage.

The head of Breathe New Hampshire is on my e-mail list, but either she hasn't read anything I've sent her about e-cigarettes, or she hasn't provided any of the information to her staff.
