Mike,
I was smoking a pack to a pack and a half a day of analogs. I had tried every thing they made to attempt to quit. I happened to be at a flea market and ran across someone selling the set ups with the flavorful juices and talked to them. Because smoked so much, they didn't recommend the smaller type of e-cig (like Blu) for me. I needed something that was going to be variable that I could turn the throat hit up on if needed. I left with a set up and 2 juices but my mistake I do believe was that I was a menthol smoker and walked away with a spearmint flavor - so I was still associating that flavor with the flavor of my cigarettes and I was having trouble quitting the analogs. I dropped to a half a pack the first week, it was the best I could do until I could get more juices.
This past weekend (Saturday @ 9am), I went back and talked to another vendor about the issues I was having with not being able to walk away. I had started out at an 18mg spearmint. We tried all the other flavors to find one I liked, and then we increased the nicotine level to 24mg and it doesn't remotely taste like a cigarette so I don't have that association in my head. I went 24 full hours without an analog and did not touch the spearmint flavor during that time either. Sunday morning about 9am after vaping when I first woke up, I did an experiment and tried to light an analog. The first draw off of it taste so awful that I handed the whole thing to my husband, who took a draw off of it and put it out. I've not looked back since.
I guess the reason I'm sharing this with you is, when you get the right flavors, the right mg, the right set up - something will click and you won't be able to stomach an analog again. Patience and getting yourself in the right mind set to truly want to walk away from them!
Good luck! It'll happen!!! Just don't give up!
