DAYUM!

Eric - Any plans on maybe getting the V4 Indulgence by Riva? If so, that could provide another option for Lewis' awesome wood mods!

I looked up the V4 indulgence and it looks just like a XL3 with a slightly different switch. It also looks like I should be able to turn it. Would not surprise me it it is the same tube.
I sure hope they keep making the V3....

On the press release they seem to mention the tube upgrades as part of the V3 with the 3 part assembly, so I'm guessing it is the same tube with a new switch. The V4 switch is very similar to the XL3, except that it only has 3 voltages and excludes to green mode, which I can't seem to maintain on a battery anyway. I've linked the press release below for anyone who is interested.

Thanks for the link. I too can not get green except for a few minutes. Hopefully the tube is the same diameter as the XL3 or the indulgence as I have drill bits for those. If not I will order a bit that will work when I get my hands on one of them. I wish they would make a XL3 type switch that would boost the voltage and maintain it. Even if it only went up to 5v. It would be like a compact lavatube with less options.

Given the compact electronics of the eGo-C Twist and it's abilities, I would imagine that an indulgence or XL3 switch with that feature would not be too far off. It's a good time to be a vaper with all the new stuff coming out! :D

Agreed. Sure hope ST comes out with one for the E-Power.

I tell you what...the pictures of the wood mod you created Lewis does no justice. I am going to try to see if I can hook up with LordDevon (this is his first notification btw) and see if he wants to do a review or take a look at for me as me and the camera hate each other, but pictures compared to what this is....it's just an insult. Thanks Lewis for creating a masterpiece.

Has the eGo Twist been attempted yet? I saw someone ask a while back and an answer that it might be possible...just curious if it has since been accomplished.

Not yet, I have not sent Lewis a unit yet, I can't keep them in stock long enough. Best bet is to buy one when ready and have it done that way.

That said (and I am sure Lewis will clarify if needed) that he could probably do it, you'd also need to use stainless as black is rubberized, not entirely sure if that would work with the gluing required. But again I am not the maker Lewis is so he'd have to see one I think.

The only issue with this type of modification on an ego Twist is once it dies you are out a mod and it becomes a showpiece unless you are really really good at modding the electronics. The twist base is wired as well as the top and that would make it very tricky to remove and fix. We do not fix electronics and it's why we decided to use the mods we use, the bases and tops are removable in case it goes kapoey. It would really suck to get a handcrafted piece of art only to have it's function die a week later do to some internal malfunction. (It happens)

Unless... and this is me thinking aloud and not in any way an endorsement of what could be done...
perhaps it could be made on a blank or a tube the same size as the twist just a hair larger, so that it would slip over the twist with some effort but still be removable?

Not sure if that's possible??

I knew there'd be some challenges, but am not savvy enough to understand to what extent and why. So, thank you for your honest and quite educational reply. :)

I've returned with another...any probs with modding the eGo-T (upgrade)? I've visited your site and it's just difficult for me to do a comparison of different PVs to know how they are different (or the same).

what would you like to know, I'll help where I can.

That would be awesome. A modular VV with a replaceable switch :)

I wish I could take picture of how they look in my hand. I did notice in Lordavon's video that it looks better. I think it is because you can move the mod which catches the light.

I should be trying to make the twist in October. Hopefully I can take it apart without breaking anything. The one drawback that I see is the mark on the tube for the VV will be buried under the wood making it hard to know what voltage you are at.

If you've had any probs modding the eGo-T and which of your PVs are most comparable to the eGo-T (upgrade). Thanks!
I have not tried to mod a ego yet. The closest I have done is a riva 650mah
