Hey guys as the title says, I'm happily vaping 6mg and it still feels nice. Since I've started vaping I haven't been "struggling" with nicotine at all really, however I'd be lying if I said the idea of totally eliminating it from my juice sounds like something I want. I know that the benefits of no longer having that addictive alkaloid in my juice definitely can't be a bad thing, but ever since I've quit smoking for nearly a year, I feel so healthy again I can't see how I can get any better ya know? I'm a PRN but I bashfully admit that I don't know a thing about nicotine's psychoactive effects, and other than the fact that it's a laxative, stimulant, and raises blood pressure, so I haven't researched it yet (first stop; wikipedia :p). But I can't see any major harm in vaping 6mg nicotine without all that tar and poison, I've overheard conversations of it being an anti-depressant, and actually beneficial to certain peoples brains.

It's not that I think it'd be silly to vape flavor juice, if anything smarter, but I like that little bit of nicotine experience. Personally vaping feels better now than smoking ever did, and it's just that little cherry on top for me, much like the warm caffeine rush in the morning with your cup of coffee. I'm not sure if I'd drink coffee all that often without that natural stimulant, although I do appreciate the taste.

I've pretty much made up my mind for now, that my mission is still to become nicotine free. It's not hard for me with vaping concerning withdrawals, or discomfort with slowly ridding the nicotine, but the hard part for me is that voice in the back of my head saying "Maybe you don't need to quit, it might not be doing much harm anymore."

-What do you guys think? I'd love to hear your experiences/thoughts on it, and certainly any science I don't know yet.

Whichever route I go, at least I'm not smoking! Vape on! :vapor:

Yup, agreeing with everything you guys are saying....

...after 35 years of smoking analogs, 1 pack a day, I eased into vaping last December, and in Feb I went 100%..........

I started with 18% nicotine in Feb, and by early March I went down to 12%........ I did a few backwards steps to 18%, but now I'm fully at 12%...

afraid of going too low, too fast...... don't want to take a chance on being tempted back into the analog world.....

I look forward to the day when I can join you guys in the 6% club!

G

Question: what did you guys find you missed the most.. the nicotine, or all the other stuff in the analogs? What are we really addicted to?

Nice, I still vape 12mg every now and then. Especially if I'm using my nautilus, I'd say at least 90% of the time now I'm sticking with 6mg (however I kinda "powervape" lol, chain puffing big'ol clouds)

I heard someone say a while back that vaping 6mg would be as bad as drinking a soda once a day. No idea if that's correct. I dropped to 6mg (mostly) about a month ago. I plan on going to 0mg eventually but not anytime soon (have plenty of 6mg juice left).

I wouldn't doubt it, most sodas do wreak havoc on your pancreas, which is one of those organs like your liver that you just don't play around with. My soda addiction, I've pretty much gotten rid of. I will drink a Mt. Dew or red bull once in a blue moon (which are the worst you can drink), but I actually get that sugar boost again, so that's a good sign my pancreas isn't getting abused. :p Then again, active people shouldn't feel bad about drinking alot of sugar, it's when you stagnant and drinking them for you hydration is when it's starting to push the limit.

I won't take full credit for joining the club just yet friend haha, I still vape 12mg almost every other day. To be honest I don't notice too big a difference between the two levels, however I am happy that 6% at least satisfies me. With these levels I find that it's a smooth and gradual nicotine level, they are both so "soft" that I can basically vape all day and feel the same. I think that smoothness has gotten rid of my morning "nicotine hangovers" too, I'm pretty sure when I use the 12mg I just vape a little less, kind of a pick it up and set it down type of deal, where with 6mg it's glued to my hand :p.

I went back up to 36mg because I'm trying to use up my old supplies. I'm 3 vapes away from a heart attack right now.

 don't actually have one, you'll be a statistic to keep smokers smoking :p, I hear ya though, I still have a 36mg flavor that I looove from virgin vapor (in vino veritas, it's supposedly aqua de gio wine ) from before I started my dripping obsession, and I just can't get rid of it. It's nice in my smallest tank, aspire et-s, it reminds me of smoking (which isn't a good thing, but I'm not tempted anymore) because I can only mouth-to-lung on it for a few minutes, and I get a nice buzz. Then I put it on the shelf again, it'll probably last me a couple weeks at least lol.

There you go, I think we have a pretty good method. Because it all depends on how you take it in, sub-ohming will probably give you almost twice the vapor so it equals out :D. 6 & 12 are so low, astronomically low compared to analogues, I bet at these levels the body starts doing it's own tolerance-reducing. I know for sure that 12 at first was almost unnoticable, now it's a nice hearty buzz, and I can feel 6. So maybe the best method is to just not try too hard, trying to ween too fast probably tricks the brain into panic mode anyway, and try and get more like kachuge said earlier.

I'm down to 6mg now, too.

For whatever reason, since i went to 6mg, I don't feel anxious, jumpy or even have the "nic craving" that I did on higher levels. It's like a miracle of sorts.

As a matter of fact, I often forget to vape. When I was on higher levels, all I thought about was vaping and I did it a lot.

Maybe I will drop to 3mg and see what happens.

Since August when I stopped analogs I've gone from 18 to 12 to 6 to 3 and 0. I now alternate between 3 and 0. My favorite juices from my local B&M are made specially for me in 3. They told me that if I go to 0mg in their juices they will have to be refrigerated as the nicotine acts as a preservative. Is this true? I don't refrigerate any of my other 0mg juices from Virgin Vapor, Velvet Cloud Vapor, or Free State Vapor. All are 100% VG.

agreeing with that too...... when I first went down to 12% from 18......I was non stop vaping....... switched back to 18, and then back to 12....
and I can say that now, finally now im ok with the 12........
I may never get to 6...... im at a real comfort level with the 12......... soft, mellow, no jitters no matter how much I vape........
yeah, it will be a while before I join the club.... but maybe one day.......
cheers.....

I started vaping mid-February at 16mg. A few weeks ago I started diy-ing and dropped down to 12mg. When I make my next batch of juices, I plan on going down to 10. I =hope= to drop down a couple mgs every few weeks. I won't rush it though. I do vape a LOT, so I think I can do it pretty easily. I'd like to get down to 0 and have some juice at 4 or 6mg to use when I need it.

I did a nosedive from 24mg to 0mg in about three weeks when I started. 24mg made me sick (after 25 years of pack a day reds), so I sorta overcorrected and went from 24 to 18 to 6 to 0 over three weeks. decided to go back to 6, but after 0 nic for 3 months it made me a little woozy on occasion, so I started mixing 6 and 0 liquids to get 3mg, and eventually went to diy mixing to get a consistent 3mg, which works out to be just about right :)

thinking I'll probably start using 0mg again as a default, with a 3mg tank in reserve in case I need a little boost... I'm fairly convinced that the addictiveness of nicotine has been considerably overrated and that smoking/vaping is more about having something to do :) as long as I'm vaping, the difference in cravings between 3 and 0 is pretty negligible.

I've been vaping exclusively for a year and a half. I've been at 8mg for probablyabout 6 months. Time to drop it down another mg to 7. I'm afraid of going too low, too fast.

Next order will be 7mg and will stay there for another few months. I'm not sure if I plan to go lower or not... I will just wing it :D

Congrats on getting to 6! That's huge ;)

I agree this method seems to be the best. I cant imagine vaping at 18 again hell 12 is rough at times depending on the juice maker and the quality of there nic, i have gotten to the point where i only vape a hand full of brands (unless its given to me or i win it.) Its to the point where my brain is starting to tell me when i can go down with out issues! Heck if i could find more 4 ml id sub ohm it lol.
