i'm really used to a side button - would like to try one of these but hesitant due to bottom button - any ideas? does that button feel comfortable? thanks

went ahead and ordered
could somebody please clarify this statement

"Depends on battery. They come in 3, 3.6, and 3.7v.

I'm not aware of any 5v battery in the 16340 size."

In some of the reviews people mentioned feeling the button on the bottom was awkward at first, but it seems they get used to it quickly. I like the design in that it means it isn't as likely to get activated on accident, when pocketed (my preferred place to store a pv when not in use)

CR123A is the name for the battery type. Lithium or lithium ion at 3 or 3.7v. 16340 is another name for the battery, but refers to the dimensions of the battery. 16mm x 34mm and round. There aren't any 5 volt batteries that size.

To confuse issues, the 17345 is also a CR123A, but is 17mm x 34.5mm

I used a side button for over a year... been using a bottom button for about 2 weeks and it doesnt bother me at all... it's fine!

I like the idea of generic batteries and I've been recommending the e-power which is something like an eGo that uses 14500 batteries. I'd like it a lot better, if it had 510 threads but, you can't beat the price.
Not sure which e-power you're talking about but gotvapes sells these in three colors and they're all 510 threads - can't think of any vendors offhand that offer their PVs with anything other than 510 adaptors - Puresmoker, for instance, offers 3 diff adaptors for the V3 but it seems that 510 is almost always the native adaptor with alternatives offered as an option

SuperT manufacturing seems to have the best deal on AW 17670s, and AW batteries in general, that I could find.. for those of you interested in 18 hrs of battery life at 3.7v. What I read about batteries means I'm not going to use anything but large protected batteries from now on.

Just a quick note, the site is not a secure site, so watch the credit cards. I did place an order, but I used a 1 times use number so I am not terribly concerned myself. Just be careful. Slow as hell at the end too, maybe the site is getting hammered.

I ordered one, but I'm confused..I looked at the review here: THERMO Full Kit and it says you need to use 2 Tenergy 3.0v RCR123a LifePO4 Batteries with the 6v tube. But on the site I ordered it from they just say the thermo tube needs two 16340 batteries SparkPlugforSmokers.com So..can I just use the batteries that come with it in the thermo tube, or do I buy specific ones as mentioned on litecigusa?

It comes with two 3.7V batteries. If you stack them then you will end up with a 7.4V thermo, not a 6V.

Two stacked unprotected 3.7V lithium-ion batteries can be ticking time bombs anyway, which is why it's better to use two LifePO4 instead.
thanks that's what I needed to know, is this a good deal? (I have a TR-001 charger but I read that it's better to use the tenergy charger made specifically for these) (2 batteries w/ charger $16.95 + $3.30 each for 2 additional batteries + $5 for priority shipping? Tenergy 2 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable LiFePO4 Li-Ion Batteries with AC/DC Smart Charger

I've been in touch with the owner regarding the security of the site as well. I'm concerned by the fact that the checkout isn't even linking to an https:// link and that regardless of the status of their SSL certificate, nothing being sent through there will be secure unless they link to that. He said he would refer me to someone with their tech support. I have a feeling he leaves the details of the site security to the web nerds, which is completely fine by me so long as they get it working correctly before I place my order.
