ok, so I am still confused by the batteries. I would like to use it as a 3.7 only, but I want the longest lasting battery which would be a________? Sorry for the confusion on my end.
I shouldn't even attempt to answer since I'm the dummy who couldn't figure out that you have to use 3.0 to get 6v but..I searched all over the place and found these
2 Ultrafire 3.6V 880mah Protected Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery RCR123A CR123A 16340 CR16340 (I ordered 2 of those, 2 of the 3.0v and a charger that comes with 2 3.0v for $29.68 free shipping and 5% off with coupon code CPF2011

No too much info on website and warranty is only 30 days but they claim "there is nothing to brake" so it should be a lifetime warranty. The price is a really good.

The SP2 carries a lifetime warranty with a 30 day money back guarantee.

From the SP2 manufacturers website.

"As with all innovative products, form follows function for SparkPlug for Smokers™. We’ve designed it to be a durable, reliable, and affordable long-term smoking alternative system, built for the day-to day smoker. It’s all-mechanical design means less moving parts, and therefore less that can break or malfunction. Our system comes with a Lifetime Warranty and 30-day money back guarantee."

Plus now they are throwing the Thermo tube in with this deal. Looks like a win/win to me.

The Sparkplug uses one 16340 3.7 volt battery for 3.7 volt vaping. To get longer life, you would need to use the Thermo Tube (which apparently is included with purchase of the Starter Kit) and a 17670 3.7 volt battery. This would give you extended battery life. Unfortunately, you would need a different charger for the 17670. Hope this helps.

the longest lasting battery will be the 17670 in the Thermo tube.
I don't have mine yet, but, if a 18650 fits.... that'll be the longest lasting battery.

As far as brand... the safest and probably most honest (maH) rating will be the AW. Google AW 17670 to find it online, if you haven't already.

the 17670 is the length of x2 16340, but the voltage of 1. Also, it carries about 2.5 times the amount of maH.(I think)

so, simple answer... get an AW 17670 Protected Li Ion cell.

JUST A heads UP!,

the batteries that come with the kit are UN-Protected. And probably low low quality Chinese cells(there are also good Chinese cells).

Read up on Li Ion if you haven't already.

buy quality batteries.

do not charge un attended.(with low quality cells and charger it's a must..... I'd charge in a "Lipo Sack" or ammo can, etc)

I'm not saying these will blow up in your face... but I'm not saying they won't.

If you use these cells in series(in a Thermo), make sure they are balanced(meaning the same voltage... DO NOT MIX AND MATCH CELL OF DIFFERENT STATES OF CHARGE). Better yet, do not use the cells that come with the kit in series.

READ UP ON LI ION

If you have a question or concern, it'd be a good idea to research or ask before you experiment.

Also, I'd suggest getting a DMM(digital multi meter) or voltage tester if you don't have one already.

I just want to point out to everyone that this site is NOT encrypting your credit card information as you send it. I believe they are working on it, but as of 11:15pm CST on 4-19-11, your credit cards info is freely viewable as you send it. Verified in 2 different browsers using every method I know to check.

I'm not worried. Been shopping online with CC's since 99' and haven't had a single security problem yet. Plus I used my PP debit card and my PP account is usually empty ( no backup source either).

They added the "Free Thermo....." to the starter kit order page the day after I placed my order. I just assumed it was going to be included with mine as well. I sent them an email asking if I could have one sent if I payed for shipping.

Not diggin' the BE112 atomizer; glad I ordered a 510 adapter.

BTW, be careful charging the batteries. I opened the charger unit and it's a "dumb" charger, meaning is doesn't contain a proper lithium-ion charging IC. It's just a crude circuit based around a TL431 shunt regulator.

Any way to tell when they are done charging?

If it really puts out 600mA charge current, then it should be fully charged after 2-3 hours. Just don't leave it on the charger for any extended period of time (like forgetting about it overnight).

If you want a really cheap charger that has a proper charging circuit, try this one from madvapes.....

http://www.madvapes.com/AD-103-Multi-volt-charger_p_2097.html

Or from ebay for even less money if you don't mind the long international shipping time.....
