Workaround for receiving wrong power cord?

After GREAT anticipation I received my 1st e-cig tonight. I go to plug in the charger and almost sh#t myself. The plug was for Europe8-o. Is there any work aroung short of having a plug converter/adapter?

I found a DC adapter set it to 12V and 1000 mAh, but I'm afraid this will take a lot longer to charge than regular AC power.

Radio Shack should have a power coverter kit that changes Euro to American power and plug end. Try it if u can't wait for them to send u a diff plug. Should take same length to charge because it converts the power also. I think if you get it with JUST the one Euro attachment it is around $20.

your DC adapter should be fine for use it on the stock charger. End of the day the charger still outputs the same power to charge the battery. So no worries.

Welcomen to my world. Hardly anyone ships the sturdy three pronged foot killers our outlets support so I've had to build up quite the collection of adapters and transformers. I going to have a party when all these cables and power strips are "so last century".

The cord that goes between the wall and plugs into the charger is a pretty standard cord. You might have some lying around from old radios, old laptop power inverters etc. I can't imagine it being more than a few bucks at radio shack or walmart.

Usually, there are two pieces: the actual plug for the wall and the connector to the charger itself. I used the wall plug part from my laptop...works fine.

In a emergency for UK sockets jam a screwdriver into the Earth pin and then connect the europlug to the live and neutral connections, works every time tho make the connection first and then flip the power to the mains !!!! Its not the safest or wisest thing to do so only do in an emergency hehe!
