This IS a big problem in my opinion. Most of the products used in vaping are manufactured in China. There are no standards or regulations for most products made there. It is a very cut throat business where smaller, lesser known companies make look-a-likes of popular name brands, (such as Joye, Vision, Boge, Smoktech, L Rider, etc.), which are often of a poorer quality or with less quality control of parts/manufacturing. This seems to be common and almost expected business practice to them. Having said that, it appears that many American vapors are out to find a bargain, find these products for cheap believing that they are getting a great deal. Well, if half of the purchased product is DOA, is it really such a great deal?

I have to believe that many of the vendors are helpless as the middleman. They are buying products in large quantity. They have to be taking a bad hit if customers demand a refund. Interesting that cartomizers are frequently exempt from any guarantee...probably because their defect rate is so high.

I can tell you that when I was a vendor 3+ years ago the market was already getting competitive as hell. Vendors arent making the huge profits everyone seems to think theyre making. Most work out of their home and are only able to stay in business because the comparatively low cost of a web presence versus paying for a brick and mortar store.

Back then we had maybe 40 people show up at the first Vapefest in Fredericksburg Va and thats including vendors...last one I went too was 1600 people with so many vendors they didnt have room for all them to set up. If anything it seems like the market has gotten even more competitive and that means even tighter margins for them.

We could make all of these products here with MUCH higher quality control but based on American made atomizers at 15 bucks a pop Im not sure anyone wouldnt want to pay that.

Using a high voltage product made in someone's garage in China is even more stupid.
Can you imagine the working conditions at the plants that produce these PV`s,if apple products are made in sweat shops, these PV`s must be made in a prison.
They are most likely made in a little dirt-floored factory with second-hand equipment. Seriously.

Have any of you ever been to China? Seriously?
Is it the norm for the majority of residents in your city to ride around town using a horse and cart as a regular means of transportation?
Do your wives and daughters still wear Gone with the Wind hooped skirts and bonnets as regular everyday attire? No, I didn't think so.
I read statements like those quoted and I really wonder, do you think the West has fantastic employment policies, that no-one gets away with anything and everything is fair and just, that our water companies (example) haven't polluted rivers and people haven't been ill due to bad government policies and cover-ups leading to years of litigation just to get them to admit to it much less compensate for it?

If a vendor sells a product and the product does not meet the specification provided by the vendor and does not perform as described then the vendor has the responsibility to fix it. And Fix the problem he must.
Vendors need to stop making their qc problems our problem.
Blaming the consumer for purchasing something advertised to work regardless of its price is Not acceptable, the consumer did not set the price, the vendor did, if the item fails the vendor fixes/replaces/refunds it.

In many ways we in the UK are fortunate to have strong Consumer Protection Laws. Vendors may choose to argue but when it comes down to it, they don't, many are happy to exchange, credit or refund. I love UK Trading Standards and I love UK e-cig vendors for recognising and keeping fair policies for their customers.

I just wanted to state that my comment was not intended to be derogatory. Reps from my company have told me stories of these types of operations. And Chinese workers can definitely turn out good products in these less than ideal conditions, but they have to be talented and well managed. But it is much more likely that they will produce inconsistent garbage from a quality perspective. I definitely feel for the people over there, its tough going as the country industrializes. It is what it is.

Besure you check with the vendors return policys before buying, Check to see if there is a way of getting ahold of them if there is a problem. Being alot of these products are made in china like with anything else made in china there is little to no consistancy and no quality control.
When I first got my G6 from Halo, when I first started vaping, one of the auto batteries went bad after the first charge, they had me return it and sent me a new one right away, no fuss no muss.

Also read reviews on the site that you are buy from about the product if there is any. Ive seen where quite a few people dont like CE carts.
And lastly it may be the case where you get what you pay for. Like I bought juice from a company that is really cheep, the juice was/is unvapable, its just down right horrible. Ive let it sit for almost 2 weeks now and it hasnt changed.

One thing you learn in using ecigs first off is no one has the same tastes as you after about the 10th bottle of eliquid that's not the greatest. Some are lucky right off the bat but I really don't think that applies to everyone. There is a lot to be said for starting with cartomizers and working your way up. You learn a lot about ohms and resistance and how it can affect the vape you get. It just takes some time and effort to not give up.
