One thing I could try that I haven't, is thickening up my 60/40 mix a little. Maybe try 50/50.

If you're missing the o-rings in the top-cap I would address that first, without those it will loose diastolic pressure which will make seepage through the wick more likely to happen.

There's a smaller one that goes on the base of the threads & a larger one (about 16mm or so?) that fits inside a ridge around the inner ring of the top-cap.

I did see that those two o-rings were there, and replaced them.

Oh ok, I guess it must be your wicking then. Maybe your coils are just too small to hold enough material?

Also, the wick doesn't need to go down all the way in the juice holes. Mine wicked a lot better when I shortened it until they barely reached that little ledge, too much in there just seemed to plug it up for me. But if you have enough wick you could even just cover the juice holes with it without anything going actually in to the juice holes from what I've seen. There are plenty of videos with wicking tips for the Serpent on YT, have you checked those out? I found them very helpful myself.

Good luck, don't give up yet.

Not sure what you mean. I have the wick as tight as I can get it in the 2.0mm coil, and the ends laid down all the way to the bottom of the juice channel. I haven't tried a larger coil.
You can find out if the seeping is because of your wicking by using a little too much. Then you'll know the problem is elsewhere. I don't think your gonna have enough wick with a small coil. On a 3mm ID coil I tried loose wicking and a few variations in the channel and couldn't stop the seeping unless I really stuffed it to the bottom.

Yeah, I've watched vids. I think everyone uses a bigger coil than I do, so I think I'll try a 2.5mm.
Pls do try bigger coils.. i think this SM is design for 2.5mm and above coils so that the wick is thick enough to match the enormous juice channel..

Crap, I didn't realize that 15 bucks was just a temporary price at Gearbest for the silver SM. I think I'm just a day too late :-x

They do have a flash-sale for the silver Bachelor mini now though, so I took my chances and ordered another one of those. I figured that sooner or later I should get another good one, right?

Fingers crossed for nr. 5!

Just under 17 (US) bucks if anyone is interested.

I don't know anything about them but efun has the SM for 16

I just tried buying one but shipping to my country adds almost 4 bucks, which makes the price similar to Fasttech's.

I think I'm gonna sleep on it a night, not sure if I want another one bad enough to be honest. Thanks for the tip though

I was running 20/80 and still had seeping. Wicked many ways it either gave me dry hits or seeped. Right now I've got max vg (unflavored) slightly diluted with distilled water (7%?) and for the first time it's almost perfect. Tonight I'll put some 50/50 in it and see if it seeps.
OK not almost perfect. Flavor was a little muted (yes unflavored has a flavor) and when I up'd the watts to 23 (26g, 3mm, 1.5ohm kanthal) I got dry hits again. Not leaking but not surprised with too much wick and thicker juice. Back to the lab.......

Sounds like you're almost there, just a tad too much wick from the sound of it.

On another note, I'm sorry to say that the SM isn't for me.

It's not the RTA though, it is me. After two days my pallet, tongue and throat are slightly scorched and my taste buds are gone, it is just too hot for me. I'll try a higher ress coil some time but I suspect it's the shorter vapor-path that causes it.

I've always been super sensitive to heat in those areas. When I drink coffee with other people for example I still have to wait a while before I can drink mine after they've long finished theirs or I'll still burn myself. I never met anyone else who has this problem so far so I think it's safe to assume it is a rare issue.

I have this problem with herbal vaporizers as well, I can only use them occasionally on very low settings or similar problems arise.

Too bad though, because I love the size and the deck really surprised me. It is a bit harder to get the wicking right compared to the Bachelor but I'm confident it can perform very similar once you do get it right & if it weren't for the heat I could definitely work with this one.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that 5th BN I ordered is good one, because I still have only one RTA that I can use without limits right now

I know what you're saying though. The more I use the SM the less I like the BN. Desensitizes the pallet. I like a hot vape but really love the flavor, smoothness, and thick vapor the BN produces. I'm torn....

Yeah, I wonder what makes the Bachelor so rich in taste.

I just saw that the silver SM is back on flash-sale at Gearbest by the way. It isn't in stock though, expected to ship on the 9th of Juli.

I'll be trying a Hurricane Junior clone next. I don't know much about it but I came across it on Fasttech and I like the simplicity of the deck.
