Sounds like you're almost there, just a tad too much wick from the sound of it.
Finally got it! Cut off a little, moved a little up out of the channel, and we're chugging along with no leaking. Now, just have to replicate it next time. It's more picky than I anticipated.

just wondering is the sm supposed to be very noisy?

currently using a 3mm coil, center level with the top of the posts

should i be using a 2.5mm coil instead?
Not that I know of. I'm still going 2 weeks on 1 wick and same coil . Course I have several atties with different juices. Still love it's simplicity, and flavors' great!

if i close the airflow down a quarter or less, it gets pretty noisy for me. I just run it wide open so I dont get annoyed.

Mine is pretty noisy around the 25% mark, above or under it's good.

Good to hear! Yeah, I started feeling a bit like a hairdresser, clipping bits off here and there, lol

Hi i just received my serpent mini today, this is my first RTA, i have a question can i wash with water the build deck?

Absolutely.
It's generally an issue of machine oil left on the metals from the manufacturing. Gack.

I take them mostly apart, try to get the O-Rings out as oil can be trapped under them.
Remember where they go!

Hot water bath with a little dish soap, rinse well... then rinse it again. :p

Lay all the parts out to dry for an hour (if you can wait that long) then shake any still remaining water (again) and have at it. They should be dry for storage, but they're gonna get wet with juice during use (which has a small amount of water) so there's no danger using them having just air dried for a bit. No shock hazard if you're worried about that.
(Come to think of it... you're going to become familiar with "dry burning" to clean used coils, if you aren't already... and that involves rinsing a hot coil under running water.) :D

Then repeat the atomizer cleaning as desired as they get gunked up from use. Simples. :D

Just a little extra advice. Be sure your wick isn't in the threading or seal track. Can cause it to leak. Just take your time when wicking the coil. It pays off to check it.

I'm planning to redo my Lil' Serpent later today.
Already psyching myself up to remember... roll the coil Lefty. :p

Man, I forgot to take pics!

I just put a single strand 28g titanium 8,5 wrap coil in mine with a 3mm ID, comes in at 0,58ohm.

I thought I'd try a little less mass to see if it's less hot that way.

I may need to re-wick though, I appear to have some slight seepage. But it could be from wetting the wick before I screwed it back together, I'll give it some time first.

Any trouble with the 28g and the hold-downs?
I've got that sample of 430 to try and it's the same gauge.

It's floppy stuff, I don't expect it'd stand up to spanning the Bachelor's leg holes and I'm not in an RDA mood. More RTAs coming next week though, I just don't own that many now. :)

(A pox on all my RBA heads when I've got RTAs instead. :p )

I didn't have much trouble getting it tightened, but it is a thin wire. If titanium wasn't so strong I probably would have had some difficulties. I fear a softer wire might snap but if you're gentle enough it should be possible.

I put my coil legs on top of the coil by the way (I assume most people have them on the bottom of the coil?), so when I put them in the post slots they went in diagonally (from top to bottom) and I could just hold them there and tighten the screws without too much trouble as the wire already was in the right spot when installing it this way.

I hope that makes any sense because that felt harder to explain than it should have been, lol
