I've never even used a higher resistance than 0,6ohm since I switched over from the Ego's, I honestly have no idea what that would be like. It's about time I try it I guess.
I have two eGo style batteries (VV), and two mods (VW, one is TC as well but I don't use it). On my iStick 60W, I had to build a .8 ohm coil as 24g wire is all I have right now. Sub-oHm's will deliver flavor and nic better, and use up batteries and juice quicker (my outlook anyway). I use an unflavored mix mostly, and I prefer cooler vapes. Above oHm is the way to go for me!

That makes sense. I'm all about flavor but don't really care about nic. I mix my juice to between 0,7 and 0,9mg these days.

I could probably do without nic altogether but it felt kinda pointless to keep on vaping without nicotine when I tried it so I threw some back in there because I don't feel like quitting, lol

I like dense clouds of flavor but I want to try above-ohm anyway, I feel I should at least experience it once.

Hah, we're certainly each on opposite sides of that fence. :) I sometimes add 5 or 6 percent of TFA Key Lime to my 24mg nic mix.. When I use that mix in my tank with the .8 coil, I can taste the flavor more (which I only get a hint of using the 1.8 and 2.1 coil heads) and get more 'nic effect', but not a negative 'nic effect'. The thing I like best about above oHming is days to recharge instead of hours..

I got my Serpent Mini today. I was disappointed that an Allen wrench didn't come with it, and the one I have for another RTA I have is too small. I discovered that the smallest flat head precision screw driver I have will work temporarily, so that saved more curses coming from my mouth . I used one of the coils that come with it, so also temporarily I'm sub-ohming. Tonight after I put the kids to bed I'll build my own coil. According to the Steam Engine calc, 10 wraps of 26g with a 4mm ID will give me the resistance I prefer, 1.8 oHms. If that coil fits in, I might try an extra wrap or two..

Did you check the baggy with the spare o-rings? If I remember correctly that's where they put the little allen-key.

There were 3 black bags in the box, and the first one I opened had pre-made coils in it. I didn't even think to check the other two. I just did, and guess what I found.. Thanks.

No problem, I hope I was still in time before you stripped those screws ;)

    Have fun trying it out!

The small flat head I used fit almost perfectly in the hex screws, so stripping the screws probably wasn't gonna happen. I like this thing so far. I did have some liquid seeping thru the air flow slots (which are opened just a bit), but I'm figuring I didn't wick it enough. I had them closed all the way during the fill up, and I let it sit there for 10 mins or so.

After using my serpent mini for about 2 weeks now I have one small issue. I have zero leaks in use, but when I unscrew my tank after a day or two I see tons of pooled up juice on the base that leaked through the AFC.

Is there a fix for this? I never get gurgles or any leaks so im not even sure how juice is getting out.

Check your wicking. I've found the tank to stay nice and dry, and "suboptimal" wicking can be one of the most common causes for those little (or not so little) leaks. Found that out with my otherwise dry Merlin. Cut my wick way too short and thought I could get away with it. Nope. Rewicked after cleaning up the puddle.

I found a good one I like. 24ga kanthal. 3 twisted with drill not too tight though. Then I ran a flat jawed plier thru 2 times clockwise down the entire twisted wire length. Used magnet to remove any shaving. Washed in heavy hot soapy water. Wiped dry and clean carefully. Wrapped 5-6 wraps 2.5mm kuro slightly spaced. Burned in (inside out) evenly. Wicked Japanese cotton and primed with juice. Came out around .44ohm... Like the flavor and lasted 3 weeks firing at 25-26 watts.
