I think it's worth the trade-off for no leaking issues, better flavor, easier to fill, and compact sizing. Trust me when I say you'll likely will not be using it at 40w. It's warm at 20-30watts as is.

The build deck is better too. I know the post holes and juice channels being off-set bothered a few people. It's all centered now, but airflow is slightly more restrictive than the original. At the same time, the whole tank comes apart for easy cleaning and drying.

Serp Mini with Griffin 25:

And another observation. The drip tip is 510 compatible, but oddly the socket in the top cap is a wee bit shallower than many others, so some tips will fit flush, while others will stick out a bit.

Flush fit tip:

One that does not quite sit flush:

How is the airflow on the mini compared with the Griffin 25? I have the 22 but love the airflow on the original Serpent. Interested in the 25 for capacity.

I'd say the airflow on the Mini wide open is about the same as the Griffin 25 open 1/4 of the way. The 25 is SUPER airy. Interestingly, the airflow control on the Griffin 25 is indexed, so if you start at all the way closed, you feel a click at 1/4 open, another click at halfway open, another at 3/4 open, and finally one at 100% open.

Thanks, does it work well at 1/4 open? Does it whistle? If it works well & is comparable to the mini at full open it might be a good option.

Perhaps that's a pass for me then on the 25mm thanks saved me some $. I'm sure the next greatest won't be too far off lol!

If you're looking for quiet, the 25 isn't it. ;) I noticed it when driving to work last night. It sounds like a tiny vacuum cleaner, if you pull too hard on it. :D

Got mine today & it's pretty nice. Used one of the coils that came with it. You REALLY have to cut the leads off perfectly flush or the chimney won't screw on. I love the tiny form factor of this & it vapes nice. The stock coil came in at around . 56 ohm's. Here it is on my GP PAPS v4.

threw in a 26 gauge 8 wrap 3mm IAD spaced coil on this thing. Came out to about 1.12 ohms. Vaping it at around 25W. Flavor is great, less cloudz which is ideal for stealth vaping. Pairs nicely with the Eleaf Pico.View attachment 550338
Looking good  making me want a black Pico lol! Of course I got a white one, then a silver.

Yes, it's a mechanical mod.
I just looked it up. Too sophisticated for me right now lol! The Pico is more my speed right now. I love the looks though, just afraid if mechs, don't know enough. If there was someone in person that could teach me all the ins & outs, I would love it! Looks great! And I'm sure performs great!

Is the black matte or metallic like the silver? It looks metallic in your pic.
