Ok, I haven't read the entire thread, but here's my take...
Nicotine has been under attack in the EU. Some governments have put forward silly axcise duties on nicotine containing e-liquids just because the TPD allows them to. In Portugal, for instance, they created a tax of 0.60 € per ml, which equals the utterly idiotic sum of 18 € more on any silly little bottle of e-liquid, unless it's 0 mg. Spain has been much more sensible with its tax. Italy has advanced an excise duty which included 0 mg juices, fortunately dismissed by the Italian Constitutional Court. Countries like Denmark and the Netherlands are well advanced in implementing the TPD. We've had tons of petitions etc. Our only possible hope is actually Totally Wicked's legal challenge as they have very good lawyers whom they reward like kings,
But never mind, this is just to say: don't mention nicotine as a nuisance and the fact that many people vape 0 mg because they couldn't care less. And, in the end, you may end up paying a fortune for anything with any amount of nicotine (save products coming from the Big tobacco and the Big Pharma) just because it suits their purposes.
Most politicians work for the corporations and are not to be trusted.
