I would, but I just wrote a long missive on the proposed legislation on regulations.gov, and I need to take a break from the computer for a day or so lol.

You can create a petition here https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions and if it gets more than 25,000 signatures it prompts a response from the White House.

I will gladly sign...I just can't sit here and write anymore lol.

Please post here if you do so we can all go and sign it.

right we wanted to present ecigs as a health alternative to smoking and tried to say it is safer, they said this is now the fda's problem and the FDA said no they arent, not without proof. so they wont even recognize what we are fighting for in the first place.
they have to first admit they are a safe alternative/safer before they will allow them to stay unregulated.

seems this can no longer be signed, after the fda posted a reply.

additionaly, im not really keen on voluntarily giving the white house the information needed to create an account...not that the dont already have it but still...

Yeah I normally use a fake email address for stuff like that...but for some reason decided to use my main one. Whatever I mean they already have my employment history, tax history, credit history, know where I live, what kind of car i drive, etc... What is an email address going to do considering they could easily get it from Google anyways.

Well it's not a petition about them saying "yes" or "no". That's not what those petitions are for. They are to alert the White House of the opinions of the people, and the only way to get a response is to get over 25,000 signatures. That petition only had a little over 5000.
We were doing this back when it only required 5000 signatures for a response.
Shortly after our petition, they changed it to 25000 for a response.

We got our response though, and it was a bunch of crap.
The White House basically punted to the FDA, who regaled us with their previous garbage.

Yeah I read it after you posted the link...definitely a bunch of crap. I guess they realized how many petitions they'd have to respond to with the number at 5k. I didn't realize it was set to 5000 at one point.
