Would upgrading be beneficial enough?

I'm getting my first RTA, an Augvape Merlin. This far in my vaping career my MVP3.0 with its 30w has been more than enough for the clearomizers I've used. Considering that I like to take direct lung hits as opposed to MTL a higher wattage would be preferred right? Alongside that I've seen people say how much they enjoy clapton wire in their Merlin which would also require a bit more wattage than single threaded wire?
I tend to vape 50/50 pg/vg.

What kind of output should I expect to need for a good vaping experience with the Merlin?

If it turns out that I might be better off getting a new mod here are my preferences:
1. Box mod
2. More than 1 18650 slot
3. In the 40-60 $ price range
4. TC

Even though I'm not completely sold on TC (can someone sell me on TC?) I've seen a lot of positive talk about it and from what I've seen the price difference isn't significant. Not getting TC and later on regretting it would be dumb.

Ss wire is good for both wattage an tc control as well ,ive just ordered load to build my own coils ect from 22 g up to 34g so i can try Build claptons an others also orderd some ribbon wire too so maybe some tiger or juggernaut coils ,but will take me a while to learn the building of wire ,ive also got several rolls of other claptons wires ect different types wires used to make it ,but want all 316L wires for my builds ,cleaner tasting i think ,

I've watched some reviews of it and seems like a good mod, seeing as this is the second time I get this recommended along with having good reviews and fitting all my needs, the rx2/3 might be the one I end up buying.

EDIT: I'll probably try Stainless Steel 316 too since SS works for both power mode and TC and I've only heard good things about the taste.

Its deffo a good dual type coil wire is ss , ive been looking at the 2/3 myself , i only have one gripe with the rx mods an thats be careful with the 510 , use tank guards on them if your tank has a long threaded 510 , otherwise they are very shallow 510,s an can jam [emoji35], but cant fault the chips on them work well an upgradeable , for all wire types , has the smaller pocket size good battery life an when you evolved in your vaping an rebuilding and tanks attys ect ,its still useable with then all an can get the 200w power if needed being a triple battery budget mod it fills most needs , an is especially affordable so if ever breaks cheap enough to buy a second one

I've ordered all the stuff now, I went for SS 26/30 clapton wire and a pack of prebuilt SS 30*2/30*2. I'm definitely going to experiment with different wires in the future.
And yeah I'm aware of the somewhat shallow 510 since some reviews mentioned it. If I'm lucky my RTA wont be one of the affected but even if it is it's like you said, the chip seems great and other than the 510 the build quality appears good too.

I liked it that much i got two rx,s an then the triade , for the dna boards an better 510, but the 2/3 easier in the pocket, in a dual setup so im considering it too for that reason , or the therion , this rx 2/3 being 3 times cheaper though , if you ever thinking of another rta a dual coil the Boreas rta , seriously a great rta , the flavours are fantastic from it easy build too , an 22£ from the uk , if not in uk tbey have elsewhere ,uk there is mailordervapes.co.uk , i just bought a spare on from them , an about to see if they sell good batteries as i put an order in for some hg2,s an 30q,s , so once they arrive will stick them in my charger an test discharge ect on them , but make sure if you do get a mod like this to get a decent external charger too , i use xtar an opus bt chargers , so not

I didn't really want a dual coil RTA but it might be something to consider in the future. I did get an external charger as well, but as for the quality of it I don't know any more other than comments on the site praising it. It's a Tomo V8-4. I bought 4 LG hg2's.

That's not no proper external battery charger sorry to say , The tomo is listed as an external battery power pack for charging device like phones ect an tablets, I believe ok it takes 4 x 18650 to use as a power bank not a charger , xtar and efest, an others foxnovo 4 ect are external chargers. proper chargers can charge many many different types of batteries. some can even test them , that one you mentioned is a power bank , only ok you can charge possibly in it with it , but its still recommend to charge batteries externally

Its about enjoying vaping an being as safe as possible doing so , we want to project a good image since theres a witch hunt on vapers recently , so we recommend using safe common sense there a very good helpful community in vaping , use steam engine when building your own coils , theres also a good few android apps also , input the type wire wraps size an gives you good results, to help you stay safe ,

Also many good ohm meters starting as little as 4£ up to 40£ including full building kits tools ect an bags , there a mini geek vaoe tool kit bag 9£ on gear best missing ceramic tweezers an ohm but a few extra quid gets you a full kit , just over 20£ can get you all tools an coil builder too ,
