I have a semi-large order being shipped from the US. I get this message on the canada post tracking site "International item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs".
Does this mean that it definitely will be opened and looked at? There is no juice in the order, just hardware.
The reason I ask is because a few years ago I ordered a bunch of sunglasses from the US (cost me like $250), on the submission slip the seller wrote the value as $50. I got contacted by customs and they had searched the package and wanted my visa statement showing what I had actually paid. I did get the order eventually but had to then pay duties on the actual price. The vendor I'm getting this package from does the same thing by putting a low cost on the package (I assume most do the same). Now I'm worried that this may happen yet again, or I may not get my package at all.
Any thoughts?
