Would you buy an E-Cigarette from the "Big Tobacco" companies?

  • Never! They got me addicted to nicotine in the first place!

  • I would think about it only if the product was cheaper than cigarettes.

  • I would think about it because they can spend more money on testing.

  • Yes. I would trust Big Tobacco over an E-cigarette company.

  • Yes! Right away. They have the money to make a great product.

They loose money when people move to E cigs and when people stop smoking all together. They cant really recoup the quitters, but could recoupe a bit from the people who switched to ecig, i could see them making that business decision. But you all bring up a good point, who knows that crap they would put in their juice. I would love to think that they'd say, hey, people are already using these, so why try to get them hooked even more, but then again, they are the devil, and the answer is WHY NOT put some rat poison in the juice, we got plenty of that laying around already. lol

they would probably make vaping as expensive as smoking. say goodbye to the bottle of inexpensive juice and simply refilling your carts when they dry up. im quite sure they would be a sealed, disposable unit. when you juice dries up, you would simply throw it out and buy another one, forget replaceable batteries, atomizers, and carts. they are all about profit and the easiest way to get more profit is to make the unit disposable junk. it would also probably be no more effective than junk like blu/green/njoy. they really dont want you to quit smoking, they dont care if you die either. they will simply replace you with another smoker that will be addicted until death. these people are sick, they murder people and DO NOT CARE. profit profit profit

Well I would like to see them selling a more healthy product and redeeming themselves for all the deaths they have caused, so Yes!

They already are. RJR was a pioneer in selling snus in the US. Granted it isn't up to the standard of Swedish snus but it is really not that bad and worlds better then cigarettes as far as health goes. They have also been on the FDA to get the warning label changed on smokeless tobacco to reflect reality. BT knows the movement is towards harm reduction and have been pushing in that direction. Also note that BT have been buying up smokeless tobacco companies as they know that's where a big part of the future of tobacco use is. Smoking is on the way out but smokeless tobacco and e-cigs are on the upswing.

I'm not in love with BT but I don't consider them my enemy. It's foolish to think that somehow without BT no one would be using tobacco. Tobacco has its own allure and needed little help from BT to be successful. I smoked because it made me feel good. I use Swedish snus now and a bit of vaping for the same reason. If BT makes a good product I'll buy it with no hesitation.

I always wondered why they never made a safe (or should I say 'relatively safe') cigarette, without all the 4,000 additives. Cigarettes with unadulterated rolling tobacco in them. Maybe there are brands like this, but I can't say I ever saw any advertised as such. I do recall herbal cigarettes in the 80's such as 'Honeywell', but I mean the major brands. I'm not sure the 'low tar' ones count.

I would still buy from the small vendors because I want to support the small buisness owner and because of the customer service that has been afforded me by them, it is unparalled in comparison to large companies. But, I answered that I would "Think" about it because of their testing capabilities, and I mean only that I would think about it, not that I would give them one more red cent of my money! If I were to buy one more thing from them it would only add to their enormous pockets and I just could'nt bear the thought of that...

I would like to be able to pop into a store if I were out of the apartment for the day and my atomizer died or something like that.

I would worry about Big Tobacco having so much buying clout that they could get the manufacturers to freeze out the small companies that I love.

For convenience sake it would be good to be able to pop into a local shop and get some juice.... but have to also agree with it running out the Ma & Pa places.

How many good juice & hardware vendors would get trampled underfoot. Would be similar to a Walmart moving into town and running a bunch of local shops out of business. Starts out innocent enough. I'm here for a loaf of bread, hey I need XYZ and don't have time to stop by Jim's XYZ shop before heading over to the g/f's house.

I would never buy from them because we need to support the smaller business. That's what this country was founded on and that's what we need back in this country. I'm sick of walmart and target. I've had it with all these big huge companies. I want to go back to Mom and Pop Shops and Gas Stations. I'm only 35 but I miss having the personal feel when I walk in and they know me and are genuinely happy to see me. I'm from a small town originally and I ALWAYS went to the full service gas station there. It was the most wonderful place to go and I miss it. So I would not give up going to the small vape shop I go to when I want to purchase more stuff. I love it.
