Would you start smoking cigarettes again if there was some new technology/magic discovered that eliminated every single negative health consequence of smoking?

They would still smell and taste the same. The magic potion is free and has no side effects.

EDIT: The cigarettes would cost the same as vaping now too. :)

Now that I have seen improvements in my health, I would want to keep them.
But that is not why I switched to vaping.

And if they could get rid of the smell too, then yes I would go back to smoking for sure.
The only reason I switched is because of my wife nagging me about the smell.

This is like asking if you would switch to an NJoy King if they didn't cost so much.
:)

absolutely yes .. I enjoyed smoking .. pounding the pack against my palm, snapping the wrapper off, the smell of a fresh pack, thumbing the Zippo for that first morning hit and rush, lighting up after a meal, the list goes on .. don't plan on going back to them, but under your circumstances, sure ..

They would smell and taste the same? No! No I wouldn't. I much prefer the smell and taste of e liquids to burning tobacco.

I agree.

The smell of regular cigarette smoke all over me, my clothes, my house, car... the smell of ashtrays, the messiness of ashes dropping off, having to crack the car window down in winter.... I'm so done with my 50 yr smoking habit.

Will be happily, cleanly vaping for the rest of my life! :)

Absolutely NOT! I enjoy vaping a LOT more, and I can control the flavor and strength at will with DIY. I also do not miss having holes burned in clothing or furniture. Don't miss singed hair. Don't miss the tar scum on everything exposed to the smoke. Don't miss having to empty ashtrays and scrub them out. I would be bored to tears having to use the same thing day after day...a stupid little tube that always looks exactly the same (oh well..could have the exciting choices of white paper or brown paper, tan filter or white filter. Big. Whoop) always is exactly the same strength, same flavor...same same same. Nothing interesting to admire. Nothing interesting to savor. Twitch the fingers wrong and SNAP...broken cigarette. Lotza fun there. Don't miss getting the odd insect in the mix (blech!). Don't miss the stale stuff that crunches because the pack was WAAAAY back on the shelf at the store and the clerk unloads it on me.

Nope. No way. Even if they take my nic from me...I will continue to vape using the equipment I have. If that fails...I'll get inventive. But I will not go back to smoking!

No.

I've made my decision. I'll stand by it.

Even if nothing changed and vaping were made impossible tomorrow, I still wouldn't go back to smoking. I'd just be less happy and would be short a hobby.

But I still wouldn't be smoking.

Besides, other than health risks, there's the taste, smell, burn holes, ashtrays, inconvenience, stigma, etc.

Meh. Vaping is better.

Well - this is tough one. I too love smoking - but not sure I would want to go back to them - if they taste the same. I am loving the much better taste with vaping.

I do miss the ease of just buying a pack and lighting up - no worries about charging or cleaning and refilling juice delivery devices.
