heck no...it killed both my grandmother and my grandfather...and now my great aunt was just diagnosed with small cell....it was my fathers main reason he deteriorated so quickly when he got early onset dementia...I feel so lucky i discovered vaping...now my Mother, younger Sister, and both my cousins all vape ...one of my nephews has been vaping on one of my eGo's all week and he now wants to kick cigs to the curb....I WAS a pack a day+ smoker...marb reds..30 years now the smell makes me sick.....I hate it passionately

why would anyone chose to put that poison in their bodies willfully when vaping is an alternative and so easily accessible .

before anyone gets all ....hurt...this is MY oppinion and you asked..:vapor:

Never again!!! I started vaping in early 2011. I was able to quit analogs for 2 mos but made the mistake of having the occasional smoke with others. Didn't take long before I was smoking more than vaping, then eventually only smoking again. On November 4, 2012 I had my last analog. Haven't had an analog as I know it would repeat the previous pattern. So never...not even a puff!

I still do, even after three years vaping, but no more (and rarely less) than 4-5 a day--down from 25-30 at peak over a 40+ year habit. I've never lost my fondness for the taste and smell and the extra "oomph" a cigarette provides, even compared to very high nic vaping. (Plus, this helps ensure I don't turn into a tiresome anti-smoker. Seriously.) And to a certain degree, my remaining cigarettes are like a safety valve for me. If I were to approach it as an "either/or" thing, I'd probably miss smoking and go fully back to it.

In fact, this kind of played out a few weeks ago. I was at home sick for 2-3 weeks, and something about my down mood and time on my hands made me want to smoke more than just my two morning and two late night cigarettes. So I did, but I think not more than eight or so any of those days, and vaped the rest of the time. And now I'm back to my 4-5 routine. Considering how brief and minor this "lapse" was, I guess my system works for me.

I agree. Not unduly restricting actually keeps your mind off them which is a huuuuge deal and not turning "purist" keeps you humble... always a good trait.

I would hope that I would not go back to smoking under any circumstance. As long as I can find the nicotine eliquid and the hardware to vape, I would never go back to smoking. Even if they banned all things ecigs I would probably go back to the nic gum before actual stinkiy cigs. I just hope we never have to make that decision.

my first reaction was to say no way...but thinking about this, and in all honesty, I have to say I hope I would not. The smell alone would make me hesitate, it really does not appeal to me and I can smell someone smoking far away when I'm out and about, even when they are gone, the smell lingers.. I really wouldn't want to go back to smelling like that, did for 30+ years, how awful.
Every now and then I see someone light up and if I'm having a bad stress day...I so want to take a hit off of it, I remember the 'ahhhh' feeling that went with it even 2 years later. But I don't and the moment passes...vaping still.

I would have to say a no to this poser. However. Im just into vaping for about a month. The problem i always found when trying to kick the habit was the rush that you get after being off em for about a week. Boy. i loved that rush. So my problem with kicking the habit was, i would be off em fine for about two weeks then i would have just the one ( for old times sake) and get that rush(lovely). Then i would have another a couple of days later then another a day after that...............................Before i knew it i was smokin regularly again.
So.
i've got into the vape scene and have been smoke free for about a month. two weeks into my vaping i went to the cigarette store for a pack of ten (Just to see if i craved the nicotene and got that rush)but there was no rush to be had.Loved the flavour though and to present i cannot replicate this flavour and i've tried a few tobacco flavours. But i never went back to the cigarettes as i never experienced that rush that i craved. My last ... was three weeks ago and i dont intend to go back to them. There's no point if there's no rush. Also i'm doing less nicotene than when i smoked. Vaping Equivilent to 3 packs a week. Whereas i was easily going through 20 aday for 30 years and worse than that for the last 20 years one and a half ounces of rolling baccky. Vaping for me. ITS THE NEW SMOKING:hubba:

Would you start smoking cigarettes again if there was some new technology/magic discovered that eliminated every single negative health consequence of smoking?

They would still smell and taste the same. The magic potion is free and has no side effects.

EDIT: The cigarettes would cost the same as vaping now too. :)

Yes,Yes & yes.Oh, & YES.
