I'm sitting around in shorts 'n' t-shirt with doors and windows open! IT'S DECEMBER!!!!!!! Phone sayz it's 69 degrees! Not QUITE Chrithmuth weather, but I ain't complainin!

Me too! I have been outside all day in tank top and shorts its so warm here! Tomorrow supposed to be even warmer here! They said tomorrow may break a record high for December in WV.

Yup,crazy weather,8 deg.C. today.I looked at the japanese maple we have in the back yard,it may be budding.
Is it not normal to have flowering roses in Florida this time of year? (excuse my ignorance on Florida weather)

I'm I'm Virginia beach, only been here a few years(moved from Vermont) seems normal for our back yard anyway. The roses start blooming in the spring and we have them pretty much all year. We have some pretty red ones blossoming also. The purple ones just fell off, not sure if they will return this year. By March we should have new blooms for all.

How much resistance and how much power did you have?

.25 ohms, 25W. Pretty reasonable, but the wick just disintegrates inside of the coil. hmm....

The first three times, I had these Claptons wicked with cotton. This last time, the cotton disappeared (either burned or disintegrated) from the center of the coil. Rewicked it last night with rayon instead. Will see how that goes.

And I just wicked these with rayon.

Thanks. The massive Clapton coil on top was wound and made by a guy at the B&M I go to. The one at the bottom were pre-wound Claptons that I ordered from Fasttech. I added a couple more wraps using the excess wire in the legs.
