Hello everyone, just noticed the mods have been busy moving threads around. On the first page, I have 4 threads that are still there, the rest have been moved. Just never seen that before.

I just noticed today, one of my eGo 650mah batteries is not working like it used to. It will fully charge, but, just won't either: hold a charge like it used to, and, it seems not to have the voltage to fire my Kanger clearo. I have two of these batteries and the other one is fine. They were bought together in the same starter kit I bought 4 months ago. Is it possible the one needs to be replaced? Do these have a certain amount of times they can be recharged??

eGo batteries usually are good for about 300 charge cycles. It's probably nearing the end of it's life. Time for new ones, I'd suggest a couple of eGo VV twists, try out variable voltage.

Thanks for the reply. I figured the one was staring to wearing out, just wanted to be sure. I do plan on getting the eGo Twists. I like the style of the eGo batteries.

The first thing I'd try is cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. If it's an ego with the 5 click off, shut it off and take a little bit of fine steel wool to the contacts and threads.

If that doesn't straighten it out, yep: time to replace it. The good news there is that you can get an ego twist for about the same price you paid for that ego now and you can give VV a try.

And, I for one am glad the mods got on the ball. It's hard to sift through all of the stuff on ECF every day and all of the sub-sections make it easier to find conversations that interest me. If everything is lumped together, it's just a mess. -- It would be even nicer if we as users pointed our fellow users to the proper sub-forums when something is out of place. Then we learn from each other, things stay in better order, and the mods don't have to wade through so much stuff trying to keep it sorted out.

Thanks, I have done the Q-tip thing, but I will try the steel wool.

I agree with the mods moving stuff to make it easier for us to read. Just odd to see so many moved at one time.

It's great to have things organized but it is a downfall for someone needing quick assistance.

I usually just check General and the classies myself heh..

I usually bounce between the general and the newbie forum myself. I like to give a warm welcome to the newbies just like everyone did for me when I was one.:)

The mods move the ones they don't seem to like for example you can talk about tanks in here like the vivi nova which is rebuildable it if you ask a question about the actual vivi rebuildable it's suddenly taboo and must be moved to the dark corner where the rebuilders simply do not have time to answer such simpleton questions.....haha there is so much inconsistency in what they move it's pretty obvious they just pick and choose.

Sent from my truck using 3 toasters a broken microwave and 6 rubber bands McGyver style......Chuck Norris aint got crap on me

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the myriad of sub-categories. I usually will not venture beyond, unless I am looking for a specific subject.

However, it doesn't really bother me that mods move the thread (when someone new is asking for info), as long as they received the info prior to the move. I know that's not always the case, but, well, you know, their house, their rules.

First thing I ask anymore when someone askes about an eGo bat going bad is "have you looked at the center post of the heads that you are using"? There are just to many cases of center posts that are to long pushing the post in the battery down.
That equates to instant ruined eGo battery.

As far as moving threads, IMO mods get a little trigger happy sometimes, and move threads to sub forums where they are never seen again. I think the amount of interest a thread is getting should also be considered before moving it.
