Is it important to get the resistance wire part of the 3 piece wire completely inside the cup radius?

If you are aiming for higher ohm ie 2.7 it takes a little longer wire no?

1. If some of it sticks out the side would that make a difference?

2. Also does it matter if the wire wraps touch each other when winding around wick?

On my first try i got OP (on Provari that means no go) and i figured it could be #1 above... well i tightened the wraps and it worked... was it because of that?

thanks...
btw, i am so glad i have the iatty... on the Vari even... best vape ever; 2.8 Ohm, 5.5 v .... thick vapor ...head rush
All of the untwisted resistance wire should be inside the ceramic. Sorry I can't answer the coils touching issue. I don't believe they are supposed to.

As fright said, you have to put the untwisted wire inside ceramic. The twisted wire and the reast of the wire after the twisted one has to be outside ceramic. And the loops around wick mustnt touch each other uke

If your concerned about keeping the wire in the cup, here is another way to mount the coil.
The ceramic cup is made with 3 holes in the bottom, 1 for air/mounting, 2 for +/- wire.
You can take your 2 wires and run them through the wire holes, then put on the rubber Orings, mount the cup, and use it as it is designed.

This technique assures the coil stays in the cup.
