So the new XPure is out and I went and picked one up from Origen vape after talking to the owner, who says it's his fave. This is a dang sexy dripper with a ceramic base combined with the inner chamber benefits that a kayfun/russian and squape have. (Both of which I own.)

I'm wondering if anyone has one yet and what they think of it. I hear the clouds are moderate with dynamic flavor. Since the air flow comes from bottom channels, around the inner chimney and up, it has weak air flow. But there's a hole on the outer chamber opposite the proprietary airflow valve, and I'm wondering if drilling that hole will make a difference given the air flow is generally actually coming from the bottom channels in the deck.

I loved the aiflow in my cats rda which i slightly similar, but Im not a fan of the kf style deck but i like the ceramic would help with heat and accidental shorts.

This thing again. This popped up a while ago and got some negative flack for the AFC. Shame really... could have been neat with out that gimmick, more air and a better post set up.

Edit: By gimmick i mean the stupid triangle tool twisty air flow control which leads to the horrible outer double walled design forcing you to screw it on first followed by the inner barrel making you wicking staying in place on the KFL deck almost impossible.

Well it didn't arrive yesterday. Maybe today. It is my birthday so that would be a nice gift. I will keep you posted on it. I will be getting it drilled at the vape store by my place.

Well happy birthday! Hope you get it today. Will be a nice birthday gift to yourself :)

I like the design of the airflow but would have to drill it out a lot for the way I vape drippers.

I wouldn't purchase one myself for the simple fact that a dual coil build would require trapping 2 wires underneath that posi screw. That would be a PITA. For me anyway.

same here!

I only like drilled post holes. Trapping under the screw always tweaks my coils too much and I have to adjust more than I'd like.

Guess I'm too lazy!!

Okay so I got it. Its mounted on my flamed launcher v2 with a vtc5 freshly charged. The airflow is open all the way and the draw is looser than my Russian 91 and squape but note tremendously so.

I went ahead and used the setup that was installed on it. A single coil 1.2 ohms with 3mm silica, which I hate, so the flavor is not as bomb as I was hoping but I plan to rip it out and do a build in the next couple of days using cellucotton and a slightly lower resistence. In the mean time, I'm a lung hitter. This was the result after a super smooth 6 second draw. As you can see, not too bad. True no, dragons but I think I'm ok with it.

Okay so did the first build. I typically get my coils spot on but I don't know what happened. I was shooting for 1.0 dual coils with 28g on a 3/32 bit.

Anyway here's the atty without coils. You can see the air channels.

Coils came out to .62 for some reason. I've never gone below .7 before on a dripper but I thought I would roll with it. More on results later. I made the setup harder than it really needed to be. It wasn't difficult, but wasn't the easiest build either. Any builder should have no problem.

So I used about 2 inches of cellucotton, about a third of the width of a strand. Of you own any you know the rope, if you will, is about 3/4 of an inch wide. Fairly thick. Rolled it tight and did a sort of bow thingy given you put the outter chamber on first then slide the inner chamber over.

Lubed her up with madtown vape 6mg key lime cheesecake. I'm very familiar with this juice so I thought it was a good way to compare.

So, SUPER smooth and even cool oddly enough. Zero throat hit which for me is a good thing. Flavor is great...not as good as my squape I would say, but I'm breaking in the cellucotton and probably could have let it soak more. But I'm impressed. Really nice clouds too. Definitely worth 34.99.

Questions?

Yeah what happened to "a couple days" lol sounds like me.
I like the bottom air flow as i did with my kfl (just had leAking problems)
haven't tried the magma yet so...
As i mentioned before i love the air flow system as with my Cats rdA makes for less leaking and a smaller chamber.
Im also a recent convert to CC and am loving it if you check recent post(a few page back it moves quickly) in the rayon thread there is a better method of wick than the twisting (there is even a evod re-wick vid by @JeremyR {he did it just for me What a nice guy} that better illustrates the better method) and it works who knew CC could get any better.

Nice build btw did i mention that lol.
Also i loved the flavor and warmth from my kfl but kicking issues made me get rid of it, how does the squape compare flavorwise and easiness to build/wick lol i need a good tank system for work that can handle .5 -.8ohms.
But with innovations like the the 3d dripper, the big dripper, and the pontus i igjt not have to worry about that soon.

Vape safe and prosper its the future smoking sucks or however this phase goes!

I think the squape is tops on flavor. After dripping the xpure a few times now its darn close. Building the squape is super easy. Wicking not so much. It's testy and I could never get the cotton right. Too little and it floods, too much and it burns because of the channels. Have to cut the length just right and fluff just right to fill the channels without aforementioned issues. However, after wicking it with cc it became super easy. You can really cram the cc into it so it is hard to screw up. Nonetheless, like many tanks, I have flooding issues/leaking issues when the tank gets down to 1/3 so I just keep topping it off to avoid that. Or I invert it and vape it upside down to clear the flood and it's good to go for a while longer if I do t wanna top it. That's a great feature being able to fill it without emptying it so inverting it doesn't cause any problems. Honestly I don't mind because it is such a nice device. I bought mine used, barely if at all, with a glass tank preinstalled on ecf for $85 as opposed to the 150 price new. I'm super happy with it.

I have 2 other drippers, my first was a nimbus, which I just flame treated to blue to match the launcher in the pic of the earlier post with the xpure, and it is great, and an origin v2 for when I want to drip longer. I LOVE all my units. Have a couple kangers that I fixed the gurgling issues on by purchasing new and improved airflow bases from origin vape (the only place that has the better kanger bottoms AND where I bought the xpure). I'm loving this xpure though.

Can you link me to the cc thread you referred to?

When reading the Rayon thread, only read, say, the last few pages or so as things have changed since Jeremy initially started the thread. Awesome wicking material!

And yeah, the SQr is the simplest build I have ever done especially when using rayon. Someone posted a thread asking what tank is the closest to dripping and the SQr was my answer.
