So I have 2 clearomizers, and have been using them for about a week. Well, been using one and trying to use the other.

I have a green one and a yellow one. The green works fantastic, but the yellow one leaks out of the battery side. It doesn't leak when its just sitting around, just when using it. After like 5 vapes the top of the battery has a nice big drop of juice on it.

Any suggestions or did I get a bad one?

Thanks in advance guys.

Edit: Using it on a X2 1300 auto.

I don't like the clearos but I have used three of them and none of them leaked. I havent tried the dry burn thing but I did wash out all three and have used them again and they worked the same.

The only two things that I can mention is 1. when filling it, you need to keep the juice out of the air post doo dad and it is hard the way they are set up, especially with the thicker juice because it puddles at the top. I used a syringe to fill the last one and it worked better. You have to blow it out - I hope this isn't too obvious

2. the base ring on the bottom apparently can be lose when shipped and can be a cause of a leak. Put it tip side up and place the bottom on a book or something hard and press it down. I did this and one out of three clicked or something.

I got nothing else.....trying to figure out all of this stuff myself as well.

according to smokeless image's website the automatic batteries are sealed, meaning they won't be effected by a drop or two of liquid...

i had the same problem with a couple of my clearos and x2 batts, i use the autos as well, and havent damaged them thus far...

out of the 6 cartos ive ordered from SI i think 2 of them had the little leaking problem, but i keep using them without any major issues! one drop of liquid isnt going to ruin a sealed auto or manual battery. you should be fine.

I have 10 of them all with different flavors and colors some over a month old and not a leak in the bunch unless I overfill them or let a drop hit the center hole and I chainvape all day every day. Try putting a little less juice in and take hits like you are sipping a straw not hitting a doobie. I will never go back to cartos.

Like first said, try a slower less hard draw. I would get liquid up when I would hit it hard. I always did hard long draws on a smoke.

Other thing you can try is take the o ring off the 2nd mouthpiece and double it up. It was hard to screw the mouthpiece in for me. I was afraid I was going to break it, but i had a third just in case. It worked for me.

I only bought one clearo. It worked like a champ through about 15 refills. I rinsed it out a couple times during that good run. Then one day I rinsed as usual, and later filled it maybe half way up. Few puffs and it gurgled. Found a pool on the battery. Wiped and tried again, same thing. Repeated that a few times and gave up. Had to empty out the juice into a carto. Tried again a couple weeks later but same problem. So I finally just tossed it. Wish I knew what made it decide that refill #16 it would start leaking. I know I didn't get any into the center, I kept it upright most of the time, except to tilt just enough to get the wick wet (this was the original short wick version). Same juices as always, which are considered safe.

I know some people think it's no biggie to just remove it every so often to wipe the dribbles off. But I don't think I should have to be fussing with it, so I went back to cartos for now.

Out of the side of the Clearo base between the Plastic and Chrome seam or internally on to the battery post?

If it has a small crack on around the base of the Clearo, empty it and seal the crack with clear nail polish or some silicone if available, let it dry for 24 hours before refilling.

If you have excessive leaking onto the battery post, check the seal at the base of the drip tip & the silicone cap on the center post, make sure it's even all around. Sometimes when replacing the silicone cap, it can be off center and create a gap between it and the drip tip, tipping causes the liquid to leak excessively onto the post. If it's off center, use a paper-clip or toothpick, placing it through the center of the metal tip, to gently center the cap.

I've had both of the above problems and fixed them with these methods.

Want to add a note here. Do not use standard "super glue" to seal a fractured clearo. I did, and was quickly reminded super glue melts plastic. lol

I've also had one drip tip that slipped above the threads above the o-ring. I can't find the words to describe the process, so I'll just say compare your 2 drip tips and see if the threads look seated differently.

I no longer fill to the 1.6ml line. I get liquid leaking to the battery post, and gurgling every time I do, on the short and long wick clearos. I end up losing half the liquid just trying to blow the center dry. I stop at 1.4ml.

When I do get liquid into my battery, I use a napkin and toothpick. Then I'll give it a few good tokes without the clearo, and most of the time some more liquid will come out. Repeat until I'm pretty sure it's all out.

The only time I wash a clearo is when I change flavors. I blow out the center, then set it on an a/c vent tip side down, without the tip - all day. When it's dry, I blow out the center again to be sure. If it gurgles, I'll dry burn if I'm a bit rushed. Otherwise, it goes back to the vent. Experience tells me if there is ANY liquid in that center hole, the clearo's just will not cooperate, and end up leaking.

After filling, if I notice any liquid near the center hole, I use a q-tip to dry it before I screw in a completely dried drip tip.

if you get a lot of juice between the metal piece under the top silicone cap and the cap it will go down the air hole. Dab it dry with a q tip after you fill it. Should help with the juice getting down the air hole. Sometimes juice when heated up will get in the hole and leak down. Just a dab on top of the battery post....just wipe it off every now and then it should be fine.

Also dont over tighten these things. I have found that can cause leaking also and poor vapor.
