It doesn't matter to me if I see it or Not. I know what the OUTSIDE is.

Just say'n that the mod's are going to get Complaints from Unaware .... Hurt members when they get Ganged Up on and Pummeled in the OUTSIDE.

It says, right that the very top of the OUTSIDE forum:

OUTSIDE!
Rants, hot debates, controversial subjects and any iffy material go here please. ECF rules do not apply in here -
read the rules sticky within - but remember: no bigotry of ANY kind..... and NO foul language / 4-letter words.
This area is not for the easily-offended.
Posts made in this forum will not increase your post count.

So it's a bit implausible to cry ".... Hurt" if you can't see that and read it before venturing any further.

Personally, I did not like the amount of filtering out that was done on the old forum. What's New? > Todays Posts excluded a buttload of sub forums. And when people complained that they didn't want to see OUTSIDE and other posts in the previously unfiltered Todays Posts option then exclusions were being added to that search option as well.

If you want to exclude stuff from your thread searches knock yourself out - and now you can do it - but please don't decide that your exclusions are what everyone else wants too. :2c:

Why aren't the likes displaying in all of the threads?

I'm reading back, and threads I know I gave a like to isn't showing, yet there is a small link to "unlike". So it knows I liked it, but WHERE ARE THE OLD LIKES????

By way of example.
Triton Coil Complete Rebuild | E-Cigarette Forum

I liked this first post. And I know many others did, too.

they get stuck in limbo occasionally ;) make sure the bottom of the post shows 'daveono likes this'
if it does not hit the like button which now shows 'unlike' one more time and it should produce the bottom line. no idea why the process gets stuck halfway but i have seen it happen quite often :?:

I'm ambivalent on this issue, but I think the point was the users that are using the New Post button, and don't look at individual forums, won't see that warning.

I just had a conversation that I could not leave.

I kept getting a white screen after leaving the conversation.

I decided to send a Test msg to the sender explaining what I was trying - and then tried to leave the conversation...

    It worked !

EDIT : I hope she isn't stuck with it now !!!!!
    She is :/ LOL's

etired failed to give us the appropriate warning to clean house before the switchover

Do you REALLY want to go there? Because there is a post where people were advised to clean house before the old forums went down.

In the new software it is not possible to organise PMs in folders. In other words if you have created separate folders to hold your PMs, as most people do with emails for example, then all those folders will be lost. All your PMs will be lumped into one giant Inbox.

This could cause problems for some members: staff, vendors, and social group managers.

    Fix
Download and Save all your PMs, on your computer. Create the folders you require then file the PMs as required.
Try to have correspondents use tags / prefixes in PM titles: ask people to put a descriptive tag in the title. Example: [MEET] Are you coming to the vapemeet Saturday?
We will probably find a fix for this lack of PM folders, in time.

I had mine cleaned out. I was down to about 10 posts (inbox & sent.) It revived a hundred or so. My Zombies. Fortunately only 40 or so are still there....unwilling to die.
