There's probably an easier way, but I've been clicking on the little magnifying glass in the search box. That gives you clickable options to do all kinds of stuff.

Dunno if I'm talkin bout sumpthin different than y'all, but when I click the search in a thread, the box comes down. I can click on search thread, then type subject in the search box, and I get results. Just searched for lila in the BB thread, and they all came up.
it's nice havin an answer every now and then, instead of just questions!! lol But then I get paranoid thinkin, surely they're talkin bout sumpthin else. Can't imagine me knowin sumpthin useful that others don't! 
NOPE - Didn't miss anything here . . . Especially since I HAD the exact same experience, until I did what I explained in the work around I posted here . . . BTW: Once they have a "Prefix" attached to them I was able to delete all of them as a group, including the original "PM'" I sent . . . Try it - It just might work for "You" too . . . Just Sayin' . . .

AND - Not really to belabor the point any further, however in all seriousness - it seems NO ONE seems to understand - nor wishes to acknowledge . . . That it really has nothing to do with whether or not someone can and/or will copy and then paste someone else wordage on the Internet as their own . . . It has to do with making it that MUCH EASIER for people to do so through all the direct links to their "Social Media" accounts which is without a doubt "plagiarism" in it purest form . . . Just Sayin' . . .
BTW: For future reference, as someone who has been involved on the Internet and World Wide Web for over 30+ years, using a Dial-up Modem and Windows DOS/v3/v3.11 for accessing many different "Bulletin/Message Boards" (for all those too young to remember they were the "Forums"/"Chat rooms"/"Social Media" of yesteryear

Yep, works for me too. I like the "Posted by Member" thing. Really helps narrow it down. And yep, start typing and a dropdown list pops up to choose from. Nice. Also like that it's all there, without having to go to a separate Advanced Search page.
Dunno what English class they learned that from, but my nephews do exactly the same thing (put emphasized words in quotes instead of italics, underlines or bold). But I think I've finally cracked the code.

“Quotes” – Who does that ? ? ? ? Yes – ME ! ! !
However, since most people do not get it – let me explain and make it easier for them, and especially since it seems that a few people do not understand why I use quotes:
1) First and foremost – When I am quoting someone else’s words –! ! !
2) Why I use quotes around someone "supposed" or "made-up" name . . . It has been my experience all these years, that People normally, on the Internet do not use their real name/s - so I use quotes, when I speak about them or use the name that they provided in their post . . .
Hey - I know you don't think my real name is "Uncle" - Do You ? ? ? ? (Well that is - not unless you are one of my many Nieces/Nephews, or Great Nieces/Nephews, or even my Great - Great Nieces/Nephews . . . Yea - there are 29 (changed recently to 31) of them in total and I'm not sure I really am even "OLD" enough to have that many yet) . . .
Oh well - that is why I quote Names . . .
3) And the quotes around other words . . . is mostly when I want to use them as a double entendre, or even when I want to say something almost "tongue-in-cheek" or with a touch of “GAY Sarcasm”. . .
