I can easily mention somebody by adding @ before username in our local boards.
I hope it'll be avaliable here after the update
I'm thinking we can shrink the Supporting Member badge a bit.
As for the avatars, we'll have to see what the final size is going to be. That's not set in stone. Yet.
Yep. Plan on 24 hours of down time. We hope to have it all finished long before that, but we have to plan for the unexpected. We're definitely not going to say it's just for a few hours as the actual database import will take several hours to do.
Then we have to go through and make sure all the permissions are good before we turn things back on and turn you guys loose.
So.. When the announcement hits, expect the site to be completely down for 24 hours. We do hope to have it back before then, however.

IMG tags will work just as it has in the past.
And the drag and drop feature? You can drag an image from another site directly to the text box in XF. How cool is that?
Not safe for work
which reminds me...will the option to hover your mouse over acronyms to get the definitions still work?
Sadly, we haven't found an addon that does this for us yet. So once the site goes live with the new software, that feature won't be available until we find an addon that does this, or we hire someone to make it for us.
Okay - I don't want to jump to far ahead here, however I do have a slight concern after rereading an earlier post of "Your's" (#3) and some of the "stuff" available on the "Xenforo" website (YES - I am doing "My" research so I can be prepared for the change over and also be able to help others), including the Resources/Forum section that deals with the "Social Media Integration" that will be offered - and more specifically about Privacy . . .
It seems with the new software that it will be even easier for people to "share" directly with even more "Social Media" sites . . . AND - If I remember correctly, when "Facebook" was first integrated on ECF there was an uproar by a number of people (including "Myself") who found it very intrusive to have all these "Links and Buttons" across the thread headers. SO - Thankfully, ECF Administration saw the light and "We' were able to select and opt-out of "Social Media" and "Disable social buttons shown in the forum header" through "General Settings" on "Our" Profile page . . .
Given this, I would like to know if "We" will be able to . . . 1) Disable/Opt-out having the "Social Media" links again ? ? ?
AND - Even More Importantly, given that what I personally "share" here on ECF is meant only for ECF Members 2) Is there going to be any way to prevent people from "Sharing" our personal post directly with other's outside of ECF through their "Social Media" by using the links here on ECF ? ? ?
BTW: I do understand and know that nothing is really "private" on the Internet and that this is an open forum which many people can access, even those who are not members, who can come and read what people have said in their post. However, I would rather not see that people can/could "Share" what I have posted on ECF as easily as just linking a post or multi-quoting post to their "Social Media", especially without "My" Permission . . .
Just a concern and if not available yet, hopefully something that ECF Administration will possibly think about implementing into the software . . . THANKS ! ! !
Uncs, check this post, sweetie. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forum-how-tos/666330-xen-foro-tips-tricks.html#post15604741

It's up to you whether you use the social buttons or not. If you don't want to use 'em, you don't need to. However, if someone shares a post you've made, there's absolutely nothing you or we can do about that.
