I just ordered 6 of the CR123a/16340 3.0v 750 maH bats with charger/2 bat kit to match from Battery Juction Sunday -- was hoping they would meet up with the arrival of my Xhaler odered the same day (Drew was out of that option for the kits and was hoping for the 5v experience all are claiming to be the "sweet spot" They e-mailed me and said they are holding my order for arrival of new stock Thursday SO I am forced to wait. (Guess this is a a hot item these days -- hmmmm? Wonder why?)
Anyway, a slight mod to accomodate the 2400 MAh 18650 bats would be great.

I have some of the 17670 3.6volt 1800mAh bats and they measure out at 16.8mm dia. and will fit most any tube that two RCR123 or 16340 will fit in . Just ordered an Xhaler , I've been using the 17670's in my AdapteveR for quite a while , it's made to use the RCR123 & the 16340 3volt or 3.6volt bats. I also use two of the 17335 3volt 1000mAh to run at 6volts . Hope this helps.

PS. I also have the 14650 3.7volt 1600mAh bats that should fit with? or without? a thin sleeve.

Drew any info as of yet?? I'm going to be placing an order today sometime for a Xhaler.. hopefully if my wife gets to the bank today. 
She blew me off yesterday and could'nt be bothered with going to the bank durring both of her breaks at work.

The one the is protected states its 68mm long. And the other one that is not shows 67mm.
Any idea of the inner dimentions of the Xhaler??
What to order the Xhaler NOW and the batteries as well and would like to get them at the same time so i'm not waitin around for batts.

the reviews i found at dinodirect, they said this battery, 17670, is use to replace 2 rcr123. so we found a longer life battery for the xhaler.
now i have to wait for payday. already bought a dse905 last week.

Hi Eclypse...the Xhaler i believe handles two 16340 batteries, two 16340 batteries are About(Give or take) 16mm Wide by 68mm Long..i'm a little worried about the width but i think Drew is calling them today to get a final determination....I ordered the Xhaler on 11/17 and the 17670's on 11/18...so hopefully i should know within a week if Drew can't find out
