If you're talking about the standard $75 one, then no batteries are included. KR808 tip will allow you to use cartomizers. Most of my cartomizers work without the adapter, some get no airflow and wont work at all. Your mileage may very. Make sure to throw in at least 1 sample of the HV liquid and you'll be in vaping heaven. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for the info but I meant to say if you add the batteries to the standard Xhaler 75$ one does it come with the two longer 3.7v or the two smaller ones which would allow for 5v vaping? It does not tell you what type of batteries are being ordered.. Just adding two and the charger to my cart but no specifics are stated. Might as well ask when using the standard cartomizers on the xhaler do you get better vapor then using a standard KR808 model battery.

Oh my bad while posting this I checked again it does state two 3.0 Volt batts, sorry all for the confusion. Just wondering how the KR808 style carts perform using a 5v instead of 3.7, do you get more vapor but risk burning them up.

While I'm here might as well ask about using a three piece system like 510,801 and 901s. As opposed to using a 808 cartomizer. Do you get more vapor with a three piece.

Tedescr the 510 3 piece will give you loads of vapor. i just started using the 510 and i tell ya it does produce vapor and more vapor. but i do not get much of a TH with 510 unless i use my spiked Drewbacco. my spiked DB1 is 60mg unflav. added to a 6ml bottle so average mg is about 36mg. that will give me a good TH using the 510. I also get decent vapor using 801 and just started using 901 also. that gives some nic evapor and TH also. i also use Greencig cartos but i use greencig batteries for those. great vapor and TH. The KR808 D cartos i get the best TH and ok vapor. but i am not crazy about the KR808 but they are very convienent for when your out and about. 2 pieces are so much easier when your on the go. as far as your batteries go other people replied and told ya what you need.
just you have to know what you want to vape at. if you want just 3.7volts then you just buy the long 17670 ultrafire 3.7v from Drew. But if you dont plan on doing any 3.7 volts vaping then you wont need the 3.7v batterys you will need Two 3volt batteries so you can vape at 6 volts and if you want 5 volts you just loosten the back screw.
But when i ordered the Xhaler i wanted all the settings so i got both sets of batteries so i can vape 3.7 5 v and 6 v. i dont need 7.4 volts so i dont need 3.7 shorties . you would have to get two 3.7v shorties cause you would need 2 batts to vape at 7.4v
so its up to you. like i said if you plan on vaping 3.7v and 5 and 6 v then you need both sets of batteries. if you dont plan on vaping the 3.7volts hen save your money and dont buy those batts.
get the picture. remember ytou can always buy later on.
I do love vaping at 3.7v works great for me. It does the job.
anyway hope i helped ya. enjoy

Thanks to all for the information, very much appreciated. Sounds like maybe a 901 might be interesting which has both good TH and vapor. All you need is a DSE901 SLB Atomizer right? You drip the juice directly into it? I've only used cartos so I'm not sure? I'll order the 808 adapter for sure since I have a bunch of cartomizers hanging around. Thanks again to ALL!

I guess if your highly recommending a 510 then I'll take that one for a spin.. Thanks. When ordering an atty it looks like it's really two pieces, the atty and a cartridge with the filler material to hold the juice, right? As mentioned I've only used Cartomizers since I started Vaping about a month ago. Any info on using a high voltage atty? I plan on running at 5v.
