Good morning counterfit lovers! /lol /joke

Does anyone have thoughts on the battery life for the 3F counterfit? Natch, a 20A cell using one of our favs and ballpark juice consumption over a given period of time. Mine is to new to measure but I just started with a fresh 25R for breakfast. Have you noticed that the screen never dims like the authentic chip?

Thanks
:)

I THINK what we are seeing with that message " ohm too high" is that limit of the mod is probably 6 volts. Ohm's calculator says a 1.1 ohm coil running at anything over 32 watts is 6 volts. When we are running a .9 ohm coil you can vape up to 40 watts before you reach 6 volts
I was running a 1.2 at 14.5 watts and still getting that message. That is only at 4.2 volts.

DITTO! This is day 2 and I just received the OHM to high message and it's constant. Running a 1.5 OHM build at 4.4 volts and around 13.6 watts. Running in power mode. Display indicates it's stuck in TP mode but that's not likely since this is a Kanthal build but more importantly it vapes like it's still in power mode. Fortunately I don't normally look at the screen but it DOES indicate the quality /cough of this counterfit chip.

You can set temp to off if you want to get it out of temp mode. It seems to work the same either way but will show volts if you set temp to off

Thanks. I already knew that. I've used enough kosher Evolv chip devices to know when the device is in TP mode and mine is not. It's just that the screen enjoys Haloweeeenie as in Trick or treat. /lol /joke

I will give it another day or two but the way it's looking I'm returning it and expect a full refund. Then wait another 6 months for the dust to clear and revisit the issue. That's the ONLY way clones get better is when WE inflict financial pain with a full refund. Ask FT and that early Squape clone. /lol /hahaha

@Katdarling - Is breakfast ready? My power buttons still suck eggs. :) Sunny side up please. :)

EDIT: Trick or treat. The counterfit chip has a mind of it's own and I didn't change a setting. Back to normal. Go figure.

No dim on screen does shut after 60 seconds

Just got my ClownStick. Initial thoughts are: Not bad...but the 510 connection needed a little work and the chip has a bit of hesitation when changing wattage up and down. It also takes a couple of tries to get it to acknowledge a tank change. Not deal breakers, but hopefully helpful info for someone. I used a 510 XL carto I had laying around and screwed it into the 510 connection a few dozen times and it seems to have loosened up the threads a bit. Paint/anodizing feels 'smoother' than the authentic. First impression is positive but we'll see how it goes...

Yes, and I also notice it is a great deal brighter than the authie. The authie is a sweet mellow Aruba watered blue, and the Clown is dentist office white.

It's an odd little chip, that's for sure. I'm not either of ours will be staying too long either.

Breakfast? OMG, you're so late! But luckily I save you some.

When you change atties loosen the battery cap to break the connection it will reboot and ask if new atty....seems to work better

Thanks! Your review is about par for the course and that means typical.

Thanks. Screens are dimmed for a reason. Ask Brandon or John if you don't believe me. Think conserve cell life.

OMG! How late do you guys sleep! I Apologize for asking a personnel question but my power buttons still suck eggs and I have not had breakfast yet. I did have lunch! /lol hahah

SERIOUSLY PLEASE counterfit lovers: what is your impressions or data on the cell life???

It's hard for me to tell cause my cell is fresh and I also don't trust this counterfit chips battery icon. Plus cells always drop faster in the beginning after a full 4.2 charge.

What I can tell you is that I had a semi chain vaping spell a few hours ago and the body of this stick got a little bit warm around the cell. Could be hunger pains or my imagination. We shall see if that happens again.

No news on the cell life yet, still on the first battery. Mine did heat up after a chain vaping session as well. It also took some time to cool down. I haven't been pounding it too hard (heh) since then but will keep my eye on it.

HA! Reverse battery protection insert WORKS!

As I suspected, the battery icon is almost worthless! OK don't flame me, better than nothing. I get it. Less accurate than many I have used. With about a single horizontal bar left the cell still reads 3.59 on my charger. Sometimes the level acts just the opposite as the authentic chip and sometimes it doesn't. So far I would term cell (25R) longevity as average BUT I'm not done and will provide some data in a future post.

The GOOD NEWS is that those previously sucky power buttons seem to be almost broken in so a new atty prompt only requires two or one quick click and adjusting power appears to work on the first click. That's a good thing.

:)

Firstly, I have no comment on cell life. ALL my batts seem to last forever, but then again I'm extremely device fickle. ;) Sure, I'll call Brandon right away to discuss our dimmings....... ;)

(is that what the kids are calling it now?)

Secondly, and much more importantly, I'm SO glad you guys brought up the warmth. It was an issue that was truly bothering me, but I did not want to get anyone nervous or agitated over it.

These little babies get WARM!!! I'm looking beyond that now, and not letting it get to me, but I sure am glad to know I'm not alone with it.

Want some coffee for lunch, Senior Boy?

Also wanted to add that the logo on the clone is actually nicer than the one on the authentic...

Agreed! Much clearer, brighter, and visible, just as the display is.

Dammit. I also prefer the button click on the clowns. Dammit. :D
