I just wish I didn't like using it so much!! That's why I want a modder. I'm SO willing to replace the board to keep the form factor. It might wind up costing me as much as the authentic, but now I'm kinda hooked AND hopefully I don't have to send it overseas.

If you find someone, DO post it. Because many appear to be in search of...

And yeah - they ARE addicting little suckers.

The evolv dna40 chip can be bought for less than 35 bucks....but if you can't install it that does not help much

EVOLV DNA 40 Board
Yup. Not about to play with electronics. coils is far enough out of my comfort zone.

I too am looking to find a modder here in the UK to fit it with a genuine dna 40 board. As a mod it is a great form factor and makes an excellent all day vape mod.
It really is a shame that the clone has such a lousy board in it. Ah well never mind.
I'm in the UK I modded mine (see my previous posts) if you want to get in touch, I am away for a few days a week but should be able to sort it for you.

Just remember we can't get DNA40s in the UK for £23!

Vape on!;)

Ill let you know as that is the one that I ordered and it is on the way. It sounds to me from what you are saying is a 510 ground problem. But I think I read somewhere that these did not have one. I can tell you that it is just as important to have as the positive connection from the battery. The device will not operate properly without one.

Sorry if I am going off topic.
I only saw a review of the last revision of the fulgoris 2-3 weeks ago I think and it was a DNA40, I have had mine for almost a year as far as I know there are no SBS mods @ 40W that can compete in size with the Xvo.
@ZeroOhm : would you mind to share you take on fulgoris in comparison with xvo? Im closely considering fulgoris given the better quality control (from what i gathered). And thanks for your correction, it was dna40 instead of yihi that i was mentioning. The sx chip that the sbs mod i was referring is gprov alexander mod sx350.

I like the Fulgoris, but I like pretty much all side-by-sides. Strictly for design, I prefer the Xvo (smaller, rounded, etc..), but I sure wouldn't kick the Fulgoris out of bed (so to speak). I believe they're running a special (199EUR/215USD), at least for awhile.

If you're antsy about the Xvo (I can't imagine why), the Fulgoris might be an excellent option. Although I think I'd still prefer to wait, from now on, until a product has had some time to mature (and workout any kinks).

I'm gun shy, and for pretty good reason (I'd say).

Diablo Fulgoris | Diablo Mods

Thanks @DPLongo22 for sharing! And also for "cautioning" that the atty's base would stuck on the xvo which happened to me yesterday. I screwed up my coil in order to detach it. Hope that may be useful reminder to some, which i had cautiously tightening when i first get it and .... happens when i was trying to figure the jumping ohm (trying to see if tightening the atty would work but obviously not). I think fulgoris has that "worked out" by having the screw on top of the screen to detach the 510 plate (also to serve the airflow position).

My only concern on xvo is the need to return if it is not working upon getting it. Otherwise, its a perfect device for me.the size of it, the appearance, its excellent. The built quality on the clone itself is satisfying to me (cant imagine the authi which i believe its better if not equal). If the qc wasnt done properly and needing it to return, i doubt i could have that patience to do that (time, cost, travelling - im from malaysia). That is what concerns me. Unless there's some vendor that could ensure the workability of the device before shipping then that may sound like a deal to me (but its too much to ask in my opinion).

Pardon my lenghty post please.

I would be hesitant to buy anything from Diablo mods. I was on the preorder for their first genesis hybrid. What finally arrived, much after the promised date, was a rusted mod with a non functional button containing broken magnets. Their reply was that it couldn't rust and that the reseller would send me new magnets. The reseller never sent me new magnets and after multiple people find rust spots, I was still never offered a replacement for my rusted non functioning $275 mod.

EXCELLENT post, Jerry. Thank YOU!

All salient points, which I had to learn the hard way.

My fear is that my experiences were not atypical, hence my new position, which is "wait it out."

Thank you too, PingPong. All insight is potentially good insight. And ultimately, this sharing of information is the real value of this (or any) forum.

Well played, folks.

T for Texas!
Exactly how the one I received from FT behaves. I'm trying to find a modder to replace the board. I was so excited when I got it that I threw the "black box" away, so I don't have all the parts.

I love the form factor of this thing, but I can only use this one when I have extreme patience.

Sigh.

FT is requesting that I make a video even though I had pics of the issue :( so now going to have to go thru that painful process!

@ToolmanTexas yes same happened to me with my FT DOA clone. Had to upload a video to youtube.....then had to send it back....and they will only send the replacement once they receive mine back....so that's a hell of a wait.....:-(
They were pretty quick with reimbursing the transportation costs though.

Seems the FT clones are more troublesome than the 3FVape clones, at least from what I have seen to date.

hey rhelton, those dna 40d boards u ordered from S V, are they the newest version with atty lock?
You know I did not even check as I dont really use TC. And I have large screen dna40 and a sxmini so its not a concern. I think they probably do not at that price point.
