Thanks ZeroOhm, that would be nice. Will PM you once Christmas is out of the way if that's OK with you.
Just seen this on you tube, 26650 ProXvoStick, mmmm that looks good.
ok quick question: my GF dropped here clone...and now the top half of the mod is slightly misalligned with he bottom half.....does anybody know how I remove the top half?
I tried the screws at the bottom, but they are really short and only seem to hold the bottom plate....where are the screws which hold the top half of the mod?
Thank you for this information. I have a Stick in the mail will be here Thursday or Friday and have a DNA40 waiting for it to get hereHere are first impressions from upgrade of FT clownstick. Authentic Evolv DNA40 board and new 1A DNA Charger from Evolv arrived:

Step#1: Replaced +/- with tactile switch in better quality and new fire switch with lesser actuating force and noiseless pressure point -> similar like HERE -> You find this kind of button in car keys with remote control. It is necessary to build substructure for switch-stabilization and adjust height for lower part of Xvo-fire button against rattling. Don't try this at home, because much too much work and to go grey ;-) If you want to replace chinese tactile switch, please take for fire button same design like for +/-.

Step#2: You see difference dimensions between Evolv 1A DNA Charger versus 500mA, customized base plate for 1A DNA charger. Note again, don't try this at home, because much too much work and to go grey ;-) If you want to replace chinese USB-loader, please take Evolv 500mA DNA Charger.

Step#3: Safety first, replace cables like described in Evolv datasheet DNA40, because chinese cable cross-section are too small.
Next steps coming soon....

I do like the TP4056 very much. I did not ever think to piggy back two of them that is a great idea! I wonder if this is how Vapor Shark does the zip charging on the smaller devices with two evolv 1amp chargers.View attachment 515181
I'm guessing you paid a decent amount for that Evolv charging board. I got this five pack of one amp micro USB charging boards from ebay for under three dollars. They work great and you can piggyback them/run in parallel on the output side to give a two amp charge. As long as you're using a wall wart that is at least two amps. I'm doing that as I type. Vaporshark ain't the only one with zip charging now!View attachment 514944 View attachment 515182
i took both my dna 40 and my rdna 40 apart to find out how they got their 2 amp charging once. on the non removable battery dna40, there is a separate charging board behind the dna 40 board with multiple TP4056 IC's. the fire button is the only on board dna40 button not used. VS uses a special button with blue leds around the bottom for the fire button. on the rdna40 the charging circuit is on a daughter board on top of the dna40 board which also has the fire, up and down buttons on it, bypassing all of the dna40's on board buttons. TP4056 refers to the actual chip (black rectangular shaped piece with the four metal legs on each side) on the charging circuit board in my previous post.I do like the TP4056 very much. 3amps is withing the limits of the quality batteries we use, Sony, LG and Samsung. I understand what you mean about the chip now. I thoughts that is what the boards were called now I know it is the chip.i took b

sorry for getting a lil off track there. the manufacturer of these boards said it is safe to piggy back these boards. ive notice the boards get very warm tho when pumping 2 amps into an 18650. so keep em in an open airy environment, keep an eye on the charging process to be safe. what im going to try is piggy backing three to spread the load across all 3 when hooked to a two amp current source. to see if 3 run cooler than two.
......now back to the clownsticks......![]()
Just a thank you to the info in this thread. I ordered the boards from sweet vapes and installed one in the first clone I got from FT. I had used it for a few weeks as it came, and was pleased enough with it to invest in a good board. I'm glad I did
The biggest advantage with the authentic board is battery life, and of course everything works as it should. I liked it well enough with the way it worked when I first got it, but I am very pleased with this device now.
I have been using it with 316 ss dual coils @ .45 Ω in TC. I set the temp to 280 f to give it a 'softer' ramp up, and I love the vape I'm getting from this.
I would recommend this to all that like this form. The performance you'll get from an authentic board is well worth the extra money IMO. The install wasn't that bad either.
Of course, if you got a good board in your clone then maybe you need not worry it. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot that aren't. Either way, it's a good upgrade![]()
