@hunter what is het exactly you get when you say "pre-soldered DNA40/charger module/button module"??
Is it a complete module that just needs to be put in the mod? (not further soldering required?)
I am dying to put a genuine dna 40 in my clone (as the chipset in those are crap compared to the authentic, while the body is actually quite good), but using a soldering iron is not for me LOL :) Tried it a few times, it's a mess :D

Edit: NM, I saw a pic at mini-ecig, which I think is what you mean, and I guess you still need to hook it up to the 510 etc........maybe I wil look around for someone handier than me in my vicinity LOL ;-)

If you have an authentic there is no soldering required, The XVO has some pretty funky split brass rings to attach the wires very user friendly and serviceable. I have a clone I will be trying next, most likely will need two solder joins unless I can get the brass rings off Chels.

Does anyone have size comparison pics between the regular Xvostick & the Pro? I think I might be ready to buy one of the authentics (although that Ystick has been looking better & better) but really wish I could hold the Pro first.

The dimensions are listed on the site, @fishwater . It's a little bigger, but depending on your perspective, it might be fine. The 18650 version is pushing the upper envelope for me (size-wise), so I'm not willing to go any larger. Plus, being a tootler, I get PLENTY of battery life from a single LG 3000mAh.

But if I needed more battery life, I'd go larger. Definitely.

It's a personal thang. To each our own.

@hunter I completly agree with DPLongo....that's a wonderfull and very informative slide show you put on here!! Shows pretty much everything you need to know about the construction of the Xvostick....
I had one clone where there was a little play in the button panel, and based on your instructions I opened her up, knew which screws did what and I managed to fix it! Great stuff, kudos to you!

Thanks guys, only took a few hours in total, snapping pics and putting it together. Even though there is a few steps the XvoStick is a relatively simple device. I will post to their thread if I can find it.

Here you go, @hunter . Save you some, well, HUNTING!

LOL... Something has happened which has turned us into politically correct prats... I believe in equal rights but these "do gooders" jump up and down when something is said out of place... They need to get back in their box and let everyone be treated equally no matter what their demographic.

RANT OVER... back to our regularly scheduled XvoStick discussion...

...I QUOTE MYSELF BELOW...

Technically it is less complex than a lot of RTA's out there. It would have less parts than your average Kayfun. I was once concerned with pulling things apart but once you start, you realise there is nothing really complex about it at all, be it a phone or an ecig. I will ensure I post some easy to follow dismantling guides to help others that may be a little more brazen.

FOR THOSE A LITTLE MORE BRAZEN... I hope the slide show achieves what was set out.

WELL DONE!! hunter, thank you VERY much for the pictorial tutorial. I have no desire to ever open mine up, but it was very interesting to see the interior and to have this IF ever needed.

Good show!

Cheers :toast:

I want an authentic xvostick so bad, but only in black / SS buttons.

Seems like nobody has them in stock.

Vapinart does have a proxvostick in stock however. But im very hesitant to pull the trigger on one. I dont know if the added size will annoy me, not to mention I'd have to buy new 26650's as I do not own any currently.

However if the run time of a 26650 is really THAT much longer, then maybe I will settle with it and be happy.

Can maybe anyone who has a proxvostick and xvostick comment on battery life between the two? Or maybe not even that.

More like, can someone who owns both an authentic 26650 DNA40 mod and authentic 18650 DNA40 mod comment on battery life?

The only 26650 battery i've seen that I would actually buy is orbtronics 5200 mah 20amp battery. This orbtronic battery vs something like 3000mah LG HG2, would I actually be getting 2200mah extra run time?

I currently carry 18650's in my jeans pocket, the little one above the main right pocket that usually comes on jeans. I dont think i would like to fit a fat 26650 in there as it would be quite uncomfortable I would imagine.
