XvoStick users?

There was a time, long, long ago, that I put every single device to bed for the nite. Removed toppers, turned off, removed or turned off batts. Yes, one by one, methodically, I'd safe them up for the nite.

I stopped doing that, and in fact, in a discussion with DPL just tonite, I realized that during the nite is not the only time something may fail or go haywire. We could walk out of the room, and .......

Still, I will most likely continue to hope that all is good and safe and sound.

Tho I may just be removing the battery caps from the Chelstix at nite... at least tonite I will.

You can even just loosen it (mine are such that the threads are very visible). It won't fire like that.

Seriously bumming here. I think my brass one is going into storage, and I guess old RailBox is DEFINITELY staying now (it's been a fence-hopper for me).

sigh. I stopped charging overnight while I was sleeping, but if I were to remove all tanks from mods every night, my bed time ritual would have to be increased by an hour...

Same here. I'd have to begin prepping for bed at breakfast. NFW, for me.

I've been happier. [emoji53] That said, I will throw caution to the wind and try the clown, once I figure out how to fix it so my atties airflow holes face the outside of the mod and not the inside. [emoji20]

You shouldn't need to (I don't). What diameter are your atty's? If 22 or less, you should be fine. The seatbelt area is 23mm.

I've tried most of my in-rotation tanks (and a few non-rotation) on this and haven't had any issues with AF. Tanks tried: Ataman II, Calix, Eviva-T, FEV, KFL+ (v2), Merkava, etc. All are 22mm except the Eviva, which is a 23mm and no issues (AF or otherwise).
On another note - any suggestions on which battery to use? Been using the HE2s and the Samsung 25Rs (same as the rDNA40). Samsung 25Rs seem to work/last longer? I vape in the 10(mostly) -18w(FEV/UTA) range.

At this moment, F2V, I'm partial to the HE2s. I have a few 25Rs, and they're great too, but the LGs just seem to go on forever. I think either would be an excellent choice.

Thank you, DPLongo! Just wanted to be sure about the batteries.

After 3 days of constant use, I really enjoy the size/form factor of the Xvostick. I have started drying/cleaning the bottom plate each night when removing the tank - not really much there aside from a small amount of condensation (been using the UTA with it) and loosening the battery cap - just in case.
But this brings up another question - is there a secret handshake or something to refilling a tank without removing it from the device? Most of my tanks are bottom fill and I have yet to successfully invert the device and remove the tank without disconnecting.

Don't crank the tank down real hard. It was a real PITA to take the plate out and screw my tank all the way down and then adjust the the pin on it so I could get the airflow hole in the right spot. The nice thing is now I know it's screwed down right and I don't over tighten it. It was a real problem until I did all of that, it would work and the. It wouldn't and would crank it down a little and repeat the process, now it works every time and its only finger tight. I do take the tanks to out to fill. Even though they're top fill, I want to make sure there nothing leaking that I can't see.

I use a few devices every day (few, ha ha). There are some I don't think twice about. My Provis stay battery in, and tanked. I have true faith in them. A good percentage of my devices are fixed batts. Even loosening the tank is helpful. And with the Xvo, I also can simply loosen the batt cap and it's completely non-functional.

So let's have an experiment, pokes. Tonite, either remove or loosen every topper. Time yourself. We'll compare notes! (Anyone else, feel free to take part in my silly game.)

I've never had an AF prob in the Xvo. And to be honest, I never even checked the direction it was facing! Now I will, of course. LOL!

I doubt I would be able to unscrew just the top of the tank, F2V. There might be a way, but I go for the simplest way pastable.

The brown LG batts are the ones I'm using as well. So far? Terrific times!

And numbah three, for F2V, yes - I had that issue but with just one of my many. I stopped using it, and all others have been fine. Like TX Foilhead, I don't screw the tanks in tight at all. Just enough to make a connection.

I want to take my brass-buttoned firing plate off tonight, to see what's under there.

I think I made another in communication. When I mention disconnection, I meant the removal of the tank from the Xvostick - I've been careful to not screw the tank in too tightly. I attach them to the device finger tight. Just wish there was a way to leave the deck attached to the device during refills. I think the solution is to use top fill tanks like the GG Tilemahos, which hasn't had any issues with leaking - at least for me. The Merkava also works great for this.

NO! Never. The plate should stay there tight. Make sure you've got the grub screw well positioned and tightened. I've had the base of the tank stay attached, but just that once. The top came off, and the liquid poured out.

OK, so, Kat and I played doctor, and...

Ooops! Wrong forum.

I took the plate off the brass one that I used for 5 or 6 weeks, HEAVILY. 10-12 hours vaping on it per day, mainly Naughty tanks, with some Kabuki love thrown in every once in awhile.

Bottom line? Not terrible. Yes, some wetness (never a bad thing). But nothing crazy, and nothing that concerns me all that much.

Considering I used to have a weekly ritualistic cleaning of my raw Billet Box, every Saturday and without fail, popping the plate off once per week or so will be no big deal. I guess we'll find out...

DPL tells me I'll be fine doing it, but...

I do notice a bit of drippy drips and/or condensation ON the plate from a Naughty tank. My Cerotanks (my beloved Ceros) - nary a drop.
