We're not happy that you don't have one either, Marc. With all you went through, you SHOULD (have one). And it should be free.
The CS appears to be making some headway. I'm not going to give them any awards yet, but at least some people are reporting positive experiences. That's an improvement. I hope it continues.
And I hope you get one.
But how do I turn off temp mode? I'm using kanthal so temp mode may not be the best hehe

I know the instructions are in there somewhere (and someone here probably knows them). I think Kat may have typed them in this thread somewhere, in fact.
Had to reattach the atomizer and say new coil. It detected it was non TC. I think I accidently turned it on when using it at first haha

Yes. They cloned everything (including the freaking box). I wish they hadn't done that, but who am I to say what's right.

Yes, if you are selling a clone and telling it is a clone, you don't send the same box as well. That is bad.

Yeah. Most have NO giveaways (to tell them apart). It looks like yours does, so I'll give them a little credit (unless it's just the lighting).
It APPEARS that yours has white letters, but the cutout (inside the seatbelt) is black, not stainless steel. If so, that's the only one I've seen that can get differentiated from the original.
Only the Limited Edition has white lettering, but it also has the SS cutout.
Of course, if it was just the lighting in your pic, I'm way off base.
This one had white letters and logo. Could you detail a little more about "seatbelt"? You mean that part where it looks like it's splitting in two parts? Or where the atty is sitting?

Notice how the internal area of the seatbelt* is SS on these?
* The little thing that looks like a seatbelt, that holds the tank/atty in place. The word "Seatbelt" is a Kat-ism that grew some legs (along with "Clownstick" for the clones, in another thread).
I can see it now. Mine is all black in the seatbelt. I think that looks better actually, all black.

I like the SS, and probably would have grabbed it if it was there when we purchased. But not enough to sell and re-buy. I like the mod any way that it is. In fact, both of mine are wrapped right now.
Vaporskinz aren't bad, but they don't have Xvo's yet (I don't think). There's also a wood-skin place.

You prolly have this info now (via the DNA40 pdf), but just in case you don't...
By default, the Temperature Protection setting is 450° Fahrenheit
To change the limit
1) Lock the device by pressing the Fire button five times.
2) Hold down the UP and DOWN adjust buttons for two seconds.
3) After two seconds, the maximum temperature will be displayed, and the UP and DOWN buttons should be released.
4) Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the maximum temperature
5) When the display shows the desired maximum temperature, press the Fire button to exit temperature adjust mode.
If you want the Temp Protection set to OFF, just continue pressing the UP button until it reaches the maximum setting. Then it will revert to OFF.

You may NOT have accidentally turned it on! I found with the Clownsticks that that precise issue was a minor annoyance. The message appeared randomly (from what I could tell). And, it didn't seem to matter which button I hit to make it go away. The authies don't do that.

I think I did it by accident. I fiddled around with the buttons trying to understand it. It did work though and it hasn't turned to TC yet so I believe I "fixed" it. Quit complicated little device.
