it has a blue LED (for those who don't know, i'm WAY behind on the forum so i haven't read through yet). i didn't think they were available yet, but i put in comments on my last valentine's day order that if it was, could i please have one, if not, i choose chrome.

so happy! and the large carry case is EXCELLENT!

so my two auto shorties i'm going to give away to those two coworkers, with some carts, so they can try before they buy. unfortunately i have no other chargers to offer them, so if they like it, they'll have to get onto the site and get one! i'm about to buy another wall charger when paid this week. i am MORE than set on batts, and trying to remember what ones are in what velvet holder, lol. i need ... a better organisational system now, i think. i store my carts well but i get squirrelly when juggling batteries. that large carry case will come with me, covertly, to the hospital next week. i just got off the phone with the pre-op nurse and told her i use an e-cig, and she was like, 'oh i've heard of those!' but i didn't say i was bringing it, lol.

anyway, i just had to gush about the cool purple and aweseome huge case! i like that the XL's fit in there, and i like that you can store a batt WITH a carto on, if regular or shorty.

i think i can work around the quirks too. :) i just like having something bigger to hold more carts. i really don't need more than 2 batts wherever i go, so i'll just keep those on the bottom part. on the small chance i DO need or want more, i'll do the condom thing on the batt i saw mentioned. i don't get how the ash side would activate the switch on a manual though?

On a manual Bat it will not activate the switch it only happens if you put the condom on the ash end of an auto bat I know this because I do it on purpose when I need a quick heavy hit I don't have any manual bats yet I really need to get some

Consider a ball of paper in a straw. If you draw on the straw (generate "head"), the ball of paper will end-up down your wind-pipe and you'll cough-up a lung. [ouchie]

Now put that ball of paper in the bottom of the straw, cover the end with your thumb, and try that same experiment. There is _no way_ you can generate enough force to draw it up the straw more than a fraction of an inch. In fact, the weak sides of the straw will collapse first, so we'll have to use a fictional straw, made from "unobtanium"...

The auto battery is working on the same principles. There is a flexible diaphragm with a pin. If you draw against it the pressure differential lifts the pin up to make contact with the carto. If you block the bottom of the battery you're pulling against a very strong vacuum (at least 14 pounds/square-inch), and there isn't enough force acting against the opposing side of the diaphragm to lift it up. Given the gossamer nature of the diaphragm, I suspect if you _could_ generate that kind of force, you'd tear it before it'd function as desired.

Don't feel badly that it seems counter-intuitive - it took me about two minutes of thought to figure out the mechanics behind it. Of course, I've imbibed enough adult beverage to tranquilize an average full-size rhinoceros, but that's beside the point I'm sure... ;) Time for a nap.

And I want bonus points for not only figuring out the mechanics, but for being able to spell "rhinoceros" and "diaphragm" in this state. ;) :p
