Good Day all, I have just passed my second year of being cigarette free. WooHoo! LOL...

I am very diligent about tracking my costs on vaping and I thought I would pass them on and see if others were willing to do so..

Year One.
Sept 2011 - Sept 2012
$1315 spent on PV supplies, $2650(4pk/week@12.50/pk) not spent on Tobacco. Cost ~$25 a week. so 50% savings, pretty good. I tried a bunch of different cartos and a mod or two, but settled down on the Ego format for my battery and flip-flopped between Smoktech Mega DC cartos, DC tanks, and couple of different clearos. I was the only person where i worked that consistently used one, a couple had tried them, but went back to the Tobacco...

Year Two.
Sept 2012 - Sept 2013
$347 Spent on PV supplies, $2650 not spent on Tobacco. Cost ~6.70 a week. (Granted, still using a significant amount of supplies that i got from the first year) I DIY almost all my juice now, and have decreased down to ~3mg/ml nicotine. I am still using Ego-VV (Twist) batteries and clearos, but gave up on any carto that needs any stuffing, only wick based attys for me now. I have a couple of favs for DIY, Carmel Cappuccino, Black Honey Tobacco, and Menthol. i usually consume 3-5 ml/day, a 15ml bottle will last me about a week. Doing my DIY takes about 30 mins a month. I buy all my supplies in Canada except my flavorings, which i get direct from Perfumers Apprentice.

What is your history and habits?

what have you learned the hard way?

Oh wow, lots of numbers, we must be brothers, I keep track of everything too !

Year One - Feb 2010 - Feb 2011 : $1400 spent on PV supplies
Year Two - Feb 2011 - Feb 2012 : $1240 spent on PV supplies
Year Three - Feb 2012 - Feb 2013 : $1023 spent on PV supplies
Year Four - Feb 2013 to Oct. 1 2013 (about 8 months) : $320 !

I now have enough of pretty much everything, I don't buy much anymore.

Congrats on your 2 years achievement ! :)

Wow, you guys are pretty religious with keeping track. Great job! For me, I quit years ago (7+) and starting vaping just recently to stop the siren song that was calling me back to the analog fold. So, kind of hard to make a comparison to what I WOULD have smoked in analog cigs. However, we (my wife and I started vaping at the same time) have spent around $260.00 + HST total so far on our first starter kits (eGo-Cs with an extra battery each, and 2 ProTank II Minis each, some replacement coils, carrying cases, plus various e-liquid. So you have now inspired me to keep track, as it seems to add up quickly.

But what about that eVic that I asked for for Xmas...? Do I have to count that if Santa brings it? ;)

You need to be REALLY good to get an Evic from Santa...

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who obsessively tracks vape spending!

Since Feb 2013, I've spent $1,334 on vape stuff (hardware, e-liquid, batteries, etc.).

I would have spent $2,930 on smoking, so I figure I'm in a positive cash flow situation and can treat myself to a Provari or a Z-atty-pro...

I'm not good at math so after three years I've spent a bunch but saved a bunch more which gives me a bunch of happy feelings.
I also still use a bunch of nicotine. Still at 24mg. tried going down to 18 then 12 but nearly murdered everyone I work with. So by staying at 24 I also save lots in legal fees.
