Hi all.

X smoker of 22 years. Wife has been pushing me to quit for more then a few years( have wanted to well before she came along) and tried more then a few times but could never do it. Kept seeing some of the e-cigs here and there but never really thought much into it as all I knew was the ones they sell in gas stations. Last week I said wth and I bought one. Was ok, not great but I knew right then there was something to this. Then I found a place selling Blu one times so I got one the other day and was really happy with it. Got to looking up their kits and what not. Was ready to get the Blu kit when my wife told me about a lady that was getting e-cigs from a place in town. Did a little more research and made the switch from analogs yesterday.

Now I know this may not be the best set up right now but I like it and as I learn more I'm sure my setup will change. I got me a Ego c twist 1000 kit with a 5 pack of ce4 long wicks and a few bottles of juice in 24mg and so far not one analog. The pack I had bought the night before had 4 out of it is sitting on the counter where I placed it yesterday morning as I walked out the door to go pick out my new vapor tool :D Could not be happier to walk past the pack and not even look at it. It's getting framed. "The last pack of death I ever bought" The look on my kids faces when I told them I'm done smoking was great. They have picked up on the whole vapor thing and how it's not the same as smoking.

I look forward to learning more of the new world for which I have entered.

Congrats, and welcome to ECF!!
You'll find a wealth of knowledge and great people around here to help you along the journey.
The ego twist is actually a really good place to start, but you're not going to end there... It seems vaping gear may be more addictive than the stinkies were, lol..
Good luck!!

From what I've read on these forums, you basically started with what 90% of the folks here would have reccommended to you anyways:)
So grats on a great first setup, and best of luck as you leave the cigs behind and vape on ahead. You said in your post that you were "looking forward to learning more of the new world of vaping for which I've entered". Well... You've come to the right place! ECF is like the library of congress of ecigs;) lots of truly helpful people here also. Best of luck to you !

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

The Twist is where I ended up and it's your beginning! The improvements in new gear has been phenomenal this year. The Mini Vivi Nova (2.0 ml) fits the Twist well and is "frig free". The Vivi Nova 2.5 (3.5 ml) fits well on the ProVari size PVs. I'm sure you will be happy with what you have but it's nice to get new toys also. The Twist makes a Great back-up!

I'm guessing smokes aren't cheap in Alaska so you should have a reasonable budget to work with without spending more than you were before and it won't take long to break even.

Relax, Enjoy!

In Florida right now, Went up there to see my family last year and a pack of camels was just shy of $10 a pack. Even with the system I just bought I spent less on it then I "did" on smokes in a month so all ready saving money.
