So my KGO arrived today. Only took 8 days from dark city vapor. Ripped open the box, plugged one of the batteries into the charger. Kit manual suggest 8 hour initial charge- no problem, It'll be worth it going from my cheap mall ecig that I have.

Anyway, I notice the charger light quickly flashes, alternating green and red. Is that normal? From all the reviews Ive seen, red when charging, green when complete. never anything about alternating flashing. Bad charger perhaps?

Need advice so I can stop freaking out.

thanks

That happening is okay. My Epower charger does the same thing. When it's getting close to being fully charged it starts flickering back and forth and then slowly starts staying green for longer periods of time between flickering back and forth. Once it finally stays solid green, it's completely charged

Most batteries come with a decent charge in them (around 3/4 charged).
I don't think you really need to charge it for a full 8hrs, but you should leave It on for at least a few hrs. On a battery that's closer to dead it will stay solid red when you put it on, then do the flickering, then solid green.

hmmmm ... doesn't sound right?? Perhaps a short in the charger?? ... well after charging for 8 hrs test it and if it vapes well then I guess you are alright. But I think you will not know for sure until the battery dies and it's time to recharge again because most batteries are delivered with 60% charge to them, so your initial result could be a false positive.

Ironically, the batt I've been using since last night (moderate vaping all day and chain vaping for the past 5 1/2 hours) just died. Put it on the charger. 1st minute was solid red and now it's a fast red-green.

I did like you and ignored the initial 8 hour / 20 min vape / 1 hour charge sequence for one of my batteries. Didn't have the patience to wait. :)
