Hello all!

I've finally decided to kick the habit after being a 10 year pk/day smoker. Last analog was 8-28 at 10pm. Been using snus until my order arrives. I ordered an ego starter kit, a five pack of carts, and a bottle of juice at liberty since they were having such a good sale. I've been doing ALOT of reading on the forums (so many helpful folks here) to get a grasp on the terminology and how-to's of it all. I still have some questions though. My first one is basically how does a day in the life of an e-cig user work. Assuming batteries are charged and the attys are working, do i just fill up the carts with juice and swap them out as needed? How should full carts be stored when not in use? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Also, I ordered VG liquid from liberty, is that 100% and was that a mistake?

Life of an e cig user? You wake up, and start vaping. You stop vaping before you go to bed lol. For some, it's a constant activity all day long. Vape when you need/want to.

Carts, as in the little guys you use with an atomizer, don't hold alot of juice and you will be constantly refilling them. Good job on the eGo kit... it's good stuff and I use one myself. An eGo battery (ive got the 900 mah batts) will last me pretty much all day. You've got the right idea: fill your carts, switch them out when dry. Fill them all back up and keep going. I don't use carts myself, but I think they come with little rubber caps you can use to store them so the juice doesn't make a mess. VG liquid isn't bad at all. Compared to PG, it produces more vapor, but has less throat hit and flavor. That's not saying your juice won't taste good though =) Some of my favorite, most flavorful juices are 100% VG.

First, I'd recommend you find a cartomizer that works for you. They hold more juice than the regular carts. A cartomizer is a cart and atomizer all in one. Once you find a decent carto, you can fill up several, and just change them out as they get dry. Fill them all up and the end of the day, and repeat. You would probably only need 2 or 3 cartomizers to last you an entire day, and they are refillable (to a point... eventually they need to be replaced though). Boge LR 2.0 ohm cartomizers are quite popular with people who use the eGo. There are lots of other cartomizers that have different performance features, but for the sake of simplicity, I'd start there. You can also drip directly on to your atomizer, but you only get maybe 3 drops in the atomizer at a time, and will be dripping constantly. It gives great flavor though.

Second, get more juice. Trust me on this. You will need more juice. Unless you get extremely lucky and absolutely love the first juice you buy, you will find that getting a few good juices can be tough. It's hard buying juice on other peoples' recommendations because everyone has different taste. Buy samples. When you find something you like, THEN buy in quantity, but not before.

With all the information at your disposal, it's easy to be overwhelmed. Just take things one step at a time. You started off just fine... the eGo is a solid kit, and the ECF has a ton of knowledgeable people more than willing to help.

I'm new here too. What are snus? I have a CigEasy Elite 808 with refillable thingies -- the terminology confuses me too, I've read that "cartos" refers to the prefilled cartridges with the plastic end caps, yet the CigEasy website refers to the thingies with the white wooly refillable stuff as "cartos" -- and use an old hard-sided, hinged eyeglass case to hold my portakit. I have two batteries and one is generally charging while I'm using the other. I have five "cartos" that I have filled with different juices, and I swap them out. I've only ordered juice from primevaping, which got good reviews on tobacco-type flavors, and I'm happy so far...

@sedateme thanks so much for the info. After doing more reading I think getting some cartos would be a good idea given that they last longer before refilling. I watched vapians video about the "cartofillinator" and that looks like it would be really easy to manage. I really appreciate the warm welcome and recommendations.

@foolofgrace I use Camel snus. It is tobacco in a prefilled "pouch" that is put between the lip and gum. Google for a much better explanation than i can provide.

@reprisal thanks for confirming what I thought would be a better way to go than using regular carts.

Welcome and congrats on a great start Elitimus. :)
Sedateme said it all and said it very well.

@foolofgrace Cartos = cartomizer which is a cart and atomizer combined. That's what the CigEasy Elite and other 808's use. I love my kr808's. I haven't tried the Elite yet, though I've read the good reviews. Hope you're loving it. :)

Like KeysBum, I follow the "top off early and often" rule with cartos to prevent them from burning.

...good choice on the eGo...ditch the carts, they will only pizz ya off in the long run...goto Crystal Clear Vaping and get either the LR Boge2.0s or Resurrectors and definitely get some more and assorted juices...I like to use a syringe for filling my cartos, just seems much easier, especially for the initial fill(CCV will send ya one for free with a 15carto order)...afterwards, you can then easily top them off by dripping around the edges...keep 'em wet for best flavor/longevity..............

I just received my ego and I am very happy with my purchase. I'm using one of the prefilled carts at the moment and I am really enjoying the flavor. Thanks to everyone!!! I've got some boge cartos on the way from crystal clear...thanks for the recommend madjack! One noob mistake I may have made is the strength of juice. I ordered 24mg and can see myself going overboard. I think I enjoying using it to the point where I should have ordered a lesser strength. Not a bad problem I suppose. I do find myself constantly popping the cart off to make sure I'm not burning anything though LOL! I also received some flavors from halo. Gonna wait till I get my cartos for those. Thanks again!!!

Well...I kinda went on a little spending spree. Got some dekang usa mix and some winter green from madvapes. Gonna try to make something thats like wintergreen snus. Don't know if that will work but we'll see. Got some desert ship and hynotic mist from vapor bomb. Patiently awaiting all of it. Anyone tried any of these....or try mixing wintergreen with tobacco flavor?

Forgot to mention I'm waiting on my carto order from CCV too. I bought the same strength and pg/vg mix in both the usa mix and winter green. I was just going to mix different amounts together till I got the flavor I want. Will that work??

...yep, just mix 'em up until you get watcha want...on nic strength...I ordered 14mg/nic to start since, I smoked lite funkarettes...I probably should have ordered 18...however, the lower nic allows me to vape away and not get a nic overdose...debatable whether that is good or bad but, I am enjoying it anyway......
