Anyone running in the 120-130 watt range? What kind of battery life are you getting, with what cells? Thank again ECF!

I have run my Modfather with a .3 Ohm SS build (20 wraps total) at 120J in TC mode all day through 20+ ml. If I put in a fresh set in the morning, I'd swap after dinner. Now 120J is a lot different than 120W in that I was using < 40W after 3 secs or so.

Edit: I'm using 25R's.

Thank you! That sounds like about the battery life I expected, I get about 9 hours out of my IPV6X, with most 20 amp CDR batteries. I also plan to run my Modfather Shorty on this.

yihi G UI and functionality is like playschool compared to DNA, IMO.

every single main vape function on the G works with clicking the joystick to cycle, what could be easier? no multi button combo for res lock, just click joystick. This is the easiest mod I have ever used in my life, and sometimes I wonder if people complain about it cause it's expensive so they try to find more fault with it.

you only need to go into the menu to set up bluetooth and wallpapers and a few other things that are entirely optional. Everything else is a joystick click away on the main page. Wire/temp/joules/watts mode/pre heat ramp up profile choice/memory selection/brightness.. so so easy. I wish i had 10 of these tbh, one with each of my different tanks.. response in watts mode at 170 watts feels faster than dna to me, tc mode about equal.

I would also like to add, i'd like to see this mod in yihi's ferrari red colour with a mirror finish, i'd definitely buy a second. What i am really surprised about, is that because of the perfectly central location, even 22's look good on it.. I really thought they would look silly but they don't. Finally, what an AWESOME 510. My joyetech unitank** can barely connect with any mods, even joyetech ones! cause of the short 510. Yihi connects straight away, only half screwed in you can see it make the connection, but it also has so much travel. So it will accomodate short or long pins perfectly. Also, that 510 is so easy to clean, there is no gap for gunk to fall behind like most. Best conductivity of any mod I've ever had. I'm upping my rating to a 9.5/10. The only fault for me is there is no puff counter, which I know aren't popular, but I use to measure the life of a mod at a certain vaping style, so i know if it will last a night out. You see i run the yihi with high drain aspires just to be safe, the 1800 mahs, therefore not very high capacity. I bought them directly from aspirecig so i know they are legit. I had VTC5a's in there, but didn't want to take those over 150 watts. With the Aspires I feel i can at least pulse vape 200w for a hit here and there (also recommended, LG HB6 pinks.. if you're in oz, these recently became available again at decent prices).

** joyetech ornate

Yup I agree on the puff counter. I wish it would add a puff counter.

They give you a Joule counter. If you measure your usage over a couple tanks then you can correlate directly to ml of juice consumed.

I'm aware but what a pain. With dna/escribe that stuff would be stored and what not.

Would be nice if they released the code/make it open source. Be interesting to see what comes up.

how fricken awesome this device would become.

Unfortunately potential liability would likely prevent them from doing so. Though I would pay good money for a dev kit even. Be nice too if maybe they could leak a few details to help reverse it at least- limited liability. harharhar...

Yeah, the Evolv 510 with the circlip is by far the best, doesn't look very good but they designed it to be the most accurate for TC. I had one on my old DNA200 aluminum block I used to use as a beater.

I used really thick guage wire too, that's one of the things I'd wish I'd see on mods, this one and many others uses wire that if I was building it I'd consider a bit too thin.

perhaps so but i CAN say with confidence that the evolve certainly doesn't pick up every single one of my tanks, where as the yihi has (i have tested it with every atomiser I possess).

Pick up? This the one I'm talking about, the one with the circlip, I've taken a lot of mods apart but never seen anything better so far

The one on the G is done exactly the same as lost vape does theirs minus 2 screws on top. It's not threaded into the body or anything like the Evolv one.

Even found myself wondering if I should try locking the resistance.

On YiHi chipped devices you should ALWAYS lock the resistance when you mount a room temperature tank.

The TC simply won't work without it.

"Rattlesnake" - easily avoided by turning the Joules down.

Read the rest of the thread. I was doing that at first but it gets all confused after a while and burns my cotton. The best way is for me to take the tank completely off, let it settle and then put it back on& lock it again whenever I go to a different room or indoor/outdoor but i just don't have time for that.

& I don't want to turn the joule down, it's set up for the heat flux on my coil.

But that's why I use it. Once I'm setup for a build I don't have to adjust anything, no power twiddling, no temp adjusts, nada. I only need the fire button to unlock and vape. That's it and it's prefect as my wicking allows. Vape 'em dry to the bone.

Once I'm set for a particular tank, coil, and wicking, I never have to adjust this or that either. I can't think of any mods I've used where that is not true.

that's a shame.. when my juice gets low here, not only will it not burn, it says no liquid and won't fire at all. Did you check out if yours is maybe faulty? One thing, the stepped TC of yihi is very subjective whether one likes it or not, but the cotton burn testing has never really been in question.. i genuinely think you may have a bad one, and they do have a 1y warranty, so maybe get that checked out

by "pick up" i mean that all 3 of my DNAs have trouble recognising certain atomisers, especially joyetech ones with short pins. The yihi has recognised every single thing i've screwed into it. Also, none of my DNA's have the outer barrier next to the pin.. with the yihi i don't have to try get in there with a pointy bud and then get cotton stuck in the threads like i do with well, every other device i own, dna inclusive. Every tank on the market, no matter what, drips a bit of juice through it's 510 at some point, even so called leak proof ones. With the yihi, i can just dab and i'm done. I don't doubt what you are saying by the way, not at all.. and I am not sure what 510 lost vape, Hcigar and think vape use, which are my 3 DNA devices.. I am just saying that all 3 do not recognise certain tanks, and say "no atomiser", whereas the yihi gets them all.

Yeah i do the cotton burn test when I get new wire to find out the TCR and it works fine as long as I stay in the same room.

Yihi are not ever going to help me if something goes wrong bc they're a bunch of douchenozzles, and my mod is second hand, plus they didn't like the fact I took it apart to find out what was going on w/ the Bluetooth thing (they wanted it back for the 3rd time but it fixed itself somehow after I resoldered the little red wire) and to scrape some paint off & see what was underneath.

That just means that you got a bad 510 without a lot of travel, hcigar is famous for really bad 510 connections and thin wiring... they sometimes try to be all clever w/ how they do things but it's just dumb. The Lost Vape 510's are all the same they're pretty good, provides a stable connection for TC & exactly the same as the one on the G Class & soldered the same way, just two extra screws on top.
