By the way Delta now has in there book that vaping isn't allowed on flights. I know because I was and the attendant came up to me and asked me to stop. I also then said its not smoke and I am not trying to give you a hard time but I would like to see where it says in writing that I can't. I only did this because it was a 6 hour flight and I hate flying as is actually I have a huge fear of flying and vaping helps calm me in some weird way lol. So she went and got the book and sure enough it clearly states that alternate forms of smoking isn't allowed on flights. I made a sad face and put it away. The attendant was very nice about it and said "I'm sorry its not my rules and I applaud you for trying to quit real cigs" and then gave me a free cocktail.

You should have said, "You no like my Asthma Inhaler!!? I keel you!"

...on second thought, you did the right thing. And I bet you vaped in the plane's bathroom after that. :)

My Provari is too long for effective stealth vaping. I have yet to have anyone in a public place ask me to quit vaping. Now that I'm early retired I don't fly much anymore, but I can understand why they don't want people "appearing to smoke" when the smokers can't. It's just a situation where smokers can become testy over the difference.

A concert, unless someone goes and gets the security guard and complains, shouldn't be a place where vaping isn't allowed. As the OP said, the place is full of propylene glycol based fog anyway. People around you who see vapor and don't smell cigarette smoke should be aware that you aren't smoking anyway.

I try to blow the vapor downward just to keep the powers that be from having an excuse to come over and question my vapor. In a concert it's easy to see vapor backlighted by the stage lighting. I spent two hours in the local Coliseum Centreplex at the Ringling Brothers Circus. I vaped constantly inside and was never confronted by any of the security people and they were on constant roving patrol.

It's funny that the announcer mentioned the fog machines when they introduced the performers and commented to the audience that the fog was produced using methods that are non-toxic, not a respiratory irritant, and approved for use in crowded venues. I'm sure it was PG based like my ecig. They hit the fog machine every couple of minutes during the show and helped me cover up my own vapor!

I get it and sorry to hear but, in fairness, (and trying to obey board rules) with some "cig" contents you can tell what it is from the smell but I'm not sure you can with some vapors. I would imagine that, in particular at concerts, guards would be watching for the possibility of illicit contents. As usual, the behaviors of some make it hard for others.

I have wondered about this a lot as i have not been at a venue with security since i've been vaping.

That being said, I generally like to be left alone in public and will discreetly vape (without trying too hard, i'm not doing anything wrong or illegal and do not wish to appear to be doing so) not so much as to avoid the ire of pseudo-authority figures, but to not launch into some lengthy explanation/argument while i'm merely trying to relax or get from A-B.

So far, I have had zero problems anywhere.

That's hilarious. It would be fun to take a big "sip" and then start waving your hand in front of your face as you exhale yelling "too hot!!!"

If you only could've seen the looks I got using that in my car, purposefully filling the whole cab with giant plumes. :D

I think the nonvaper logic here, apart from a power tripping rent-a-cop, is that smoking bans are really in place to try to make you stop smoking, not for general public health. That being said they don't want you to have any kind of tobacco or nicotine anywhere. Why do you think delta is now tobacco free on their flights? Because snus really annoys a passenger five rows behind you?

How can they tell you that you can't use snus? I don't even understand how they can do that.

That only may come with time. If we get past the current unpleasantness with regulation and banning, I can see a future where vapor will fill all the places that smoke did 25 years ago. Healthier to all and not really looked at as a bad thing.

I have to completely disagree, it will never be allowed everywhere and nor should it be. People are pushing things too much and have this false sense of entitlement when it comes to vaping. Just because it is not illegal or smoking does not give us the right to force others to have to deal with our hobby and or addiction how ever you want to look at it. I think the more people act in this way in public the worse it looks on the vaping crowd in general. A little common sense goes a long way and if you really think about it the more we decide to push the boundaries the more reason the government will have to put forth regulations and or outright bans.

Use your heads folks they already are looking for reasons to put an end to vaping or at the very least to enact some form of stricter regulations on it so lets not give them more reasons to do so.

While I agree it shouldn't be allowed everywhere (schools, church's) this kind of mentality comes from being treated as a second class citizen as a smoker. Why should I now be subject to the same rules I was before when I made a purposeful choice to be more respectful to my body and the people around me?

The only reason there is a push for regulation is because vaping is gaining momentum and big tobacco is loosing out, they are stalling until they can find a way to monetize it, but have now made such a big push against it that they are going to have a hard time getting the "public bodies" they fund to be able to retract the statements they made without a big backlash.

Played a gig at the Daytona 500 a few years ago. We were at a little stage in the area where all the sponsors are located. Packed with people walking by and groovin' to our music, then, all of the sudden their was no one around. We couldn't figure it out. It was at that moment we heard.........Do da do da do da do da ......it was that damned Bon Jovi....JBJ was there to sing the National Anthem. Every one left us to see them!............That damned Bon Jovi. I whipped out my home made 14500 box mod and started to vape away, some wize ... walked by and made a remark about trying to steal Bon Jovis' stage show with the vapor from my mod.......Damned Bon Jovi!!!
