This was inspired by a post I just read (can't remember the OP, sorry).

Let's say you have $1000. It has to be spent on ecig related stuff. You have to spend it in the next 2 days. What do you get?

Okay, here's mine (prices are estimates)

Provari regular, with extension cap and 1 year warranty. $225
Provari mini, with extension cap and 1 year warranty. $225
2 liters 100 mg/ml nicotine. $228
Gallon propylene glycol. $38
gallon vegetable glycerine. $40
20 protank heads. $24
Another protank. $20
killer atomizer. $90

uh, that puts me at $890 so far. I'd probably blow the last $110 on premade liquids or flavors.

If I had no vape gear at all, but know all I know about vaping, The above would be my list also with just a few changes.

No protanks.... I would get IBTanks or Phiniacs.. probably 4 or 5 with 50 cartos

The same as above with PG/VG/and Nic juice

No premade juices...I would get the entire TFA Flavor line

Two Provari Minis and batteries, charger and Tatroe rings for both.

Hmm, one grand on vape gear, that's a toughie. Probably a hundred or so in RBA supplies, another $100 on a pair of high-end RBA/tank systems, a few liters of PG/VG (cheap, comparatively), many many bottles of flavoring from MBV and Wizard Labs (basically all the LA/LAN flavors from WL) which could easily be $200 right there for the liquid components. That leaves me with what, six hundred or so? Five or six Protank Minis, few more packs of heads, other replacement parts..actually, forget the PT Mini, I'd probably get the Davide Mini cause of the removable drip tips (yes I know the PTv2 Mini is coming, I'm impatient and after the machining issues with the PTv2 I'm leery), so that's another $100.

Now, the other half..ugh..this is where it gets difficult for me. I guess DNA20 chips would count, so probably two of those, with accessories, that's around $150 I guess.. Three fifty left, I'd figure out some way to cheat the 'vape gear' rule and get electronics bits and bobs for mod-making, that could easily be another $200 right there if I got fancy with microcontrollers, voltage regulators, LCDs, high-amperage switches, project boxes/battery boxes, spools of 16ga copper wire, LiPos...

The last $150 I'd happily blow on VV Egos and Pyrex tanks plus heads/chargers/liquids for my gf's brother and another good female friend of mine.

Also subbing for curiosity, maybe I'll see the name of a new mod pop up in here that I can go drool over. Provaris/Reos/etc don't do much for me as I can build a Provari-level mod with even more features for maybe 70% or less of retail, all I miss out on is the warranty, but seeing as I built it, I can obviously fix it myself too! In no way am I bashing the Provari at all, it's an excellent mod, and I've heard customer service is absolutely stellar, but being DIY-inclined with that sort of thing, I can't justify $200+ on a mod I can build for $150 and have VW as well as a 'mechanical/sub-ohm' mode in addition to everything else.

ETA: Yes, I mentioned plenty of DIY supplies, and no, I did not forget nicotine, I have a half liter of unopened 60mg VG-based nic here that'll last me until I'm off the nicotine entirely, already down to 6mg all day with 18mg in the mornings, so why buy more concentrated nic when I can cut what I have and get 5 liters of 6mg nic?

I would have to agree with this across the board. Doesn't really matter where you start. Seems like if you vape long enough and search long enough for that perfect vape, you end up with Provari's and carto tanks, with a few RBA/RDA's thrown in. Mr. Bond is right on target on this. I may take a run with a list of my own, but the foundation is as has been said.

Aside from a serious desire to donate it to CASAA. I'll go with the point that the OP was probably looking for...

In one scenario, I'd spend it all on 2 gallons of 100mg nic solution, PG. VG, measuring glass wear and safety gear. After initially cutting it, that would net me about 30,000ml of 25mg base. By the time I cut that with flavor and PG/VG down to my normal 12mg...I'd end up with over 60,000ml of flavored juice....which would be more juice than I could personally vape in 30 years. So, I guess I'd need to buy a fogger, and invite all of my vaping buddies over and try to decide on a flavor. lol

In all seriousness though...

I'd buy enough nic base to last me two years, and store it in the freezer. 1000ml of 100mg outta do the trick. - $120
Flavors - $150
Gallon of VG - $30
Gallon of PG - $20
A Billet Box mod - $180
Batteries - $200
Chargers - $100
A Tatroe Tank/Base - $40
AGA-T $25
Kanthal/Wick - $35
Mod building parts (connectors, switches, springs, etc.) - $100

*sneaks back and whispers*
A custom vape with a built in mp3 player and awesome passtrough, interchangeable batterys, rebuildable coil, VV,VW, and makes enough vape for me to ninja smokescreen somebody. Must be waterproof and tungsten carbide. ...and still must make sandwiches. *sigh*

I love to spend money I don't have too! Let's see....

1) A Reo Grand $144
2) A Reomizer $43
3) Taifun GT $170
4) 4oz of TPA bavarian cream $15
5) kanthal wire $10
6) Nemesis Kalafan $185
7) Poldiac $200
8) New aw imr 18490 batts $50
That leaves about $180... I'd like to have a nice dna20 tube mod but I don't know which one yet and $180 wouldn't be enough. So I'd probably spend the rest on PG, VG, Nic and some more flavorings.

Lemme see:
15 50ml HHV flavors (around 300)
A Provari (Although I'm still not sure about it) 300
Various heads (evod, protank, vapeonly) 100
Spare clearos (Vapeonly, Protank, Davide or Puritank) 70
Driptips from FT 30
3 Orbtronic 1860 batts 30
A Taifun or Russian 120
A Smoktech Sid 59
I'm a little overboard but I could do this in a less grand fashion with 500... And still have everything I need.
