Maybe we should set up a mentoring program lol so the newbies don't get 50 replies all telling them something different.
ECF would LOVE to have a mentoring program, and rolygate has been asking for ideas.
I tried to come up with some ideas, but I just couldn't think of a way to make it work very well.

So uh......egos are good, 808s are OK, Provari and Darwin are bad ..., if you can afford it, Lavatube is a fine alternative. As for juice, personally, I'm a desert ship fan, I also like most coffee flavors, but you will have to figure out what you like...........

Now somebody give me $20:D

agree with all but the coffee.
:vapor:Ill agree for 10.

I wonder how this relates to the article I read talking about how smokers are less likely to use a NRT if it's free to them, and more likely to use it if they have to pay for it.

It's possible. I have seen from my experience that people who have received ecigs as gifts (unsolicited that is), then not to have the vested interest in using them and they often end up in a drawer. Now those who asked to receive them as a gift will use them.

I'll have to think on that one for a bit. I'm thinking maybe having some vets volunteer and have a form optional for new members to sign up to have a vet help get them started.

I'm not sure how easy that would be to accomplish, however. I for one would be more than happy to do it.

or a support program.
when a guy convert really needs a cig and has some one to call who would tell him he can do it.
Over the top?
I think the state sponsors such a program, In NJ anyway.
but It sounds good on paper till you get a call from some drunk chick at two in the morning in a bar that just wants to fire up.

I wonder what his success rate is.

Especially when compared to the mall kiosks that sell $200 starter kits.
Or the online scumbags with their free trials.

Seriously, if this guy really knows his stuff, he might be doing a lot of people a very big favor.
I guess it just depends on how much he knows, and whether he has solutions for people that have different needs.

Too many people just would not be good at this because they can't see past their own experiences.

I just found this ad posted on Craigslist. I guess I'm in the wrong business lol

Electronic Cigarettes - We Can Get You A Deal

HOLY SMOKES (pun intended).

Wow. I would never dream of charging anyone for information.

What I don't get is if someone is internet savvy enough to find that ad on craigslist, surely they are internet savvy enough to do their own research?:blink:

I agree with tha.
If you aren't really finding your happiness level in the first place then you may steer in the wrong direction. some are comletely self serving anyway. you cant just tell every body to skip all the rest and just get a provari. The jpourney s half the fun.
besides , one said it. Ego's are ok, KR808 is ok, IF YOU CANT AFFORD THE PROVARI, THE LAVATUBE IS AN AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE"
I have one of those, It's so dern heavy I hate to use it. Like holding a brick, But thats me.
Besides, Im perfectly secure with my genitals.
Yeah, I said it.
That's how I roll.

Well, yes that would be an issue. I think there would need to be some ground rules in place for such a program. I went through it every day when I worked at the ecig store. I was somewhat limited where I worked as we didn't have a large variety at the time and often referred really heavy smokers to the forum for other options.

But in my opinion, I was better off losing that one sale and having them refer 20 people that I could help to me, rather than selling something I knew wasn't going to cut it for them and have them tell the same 20 people that ecigs sucked.

Guidance and suggestions are one thing, but ultimately, they need the information to make the decision on their own whether it's what you would do or not.

Ultimately, the individual has to be comfortable and happy with the setup they get or they won't use it. All the great technology and gadgets in the world are useless if it's sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I've seen heavy smokers quit with a 4081 and I've seen 1/2PAD smokers that couldn't do it without a VV mod. Pushing the latest and greatest on everyone isn't the best solution.
