You really don't need to fill cartos before using on a REO

Newbie to squonking here with what is probably a very stupid question but I have to ask. Why bother with a carto if you aren't going to fill it? What not just use an atty? Be nice now.

The filler in the carto holds all the juice so it doesn't drain into the reservoir. Pretty nifty solution for folks that put their Reo away in a purse or pocket or anywhere it won't stay upright.

So would you use this method with a duel coil carto? The top coil wouldn't get wet for awhile and seems like it would burn the filler. Am I missing something?

I don't use the dual coil cartomizers. I didn't think I would need or want cartos on my REO. For a long time I just used 510 and 306 atomizers. Then I bought some cartos and I liked them. For me they are just another atty. The price is a lot cheaper. They give great flavor and vapor. I use them on my Mini's.
Just think of them like they are a different atomizer. Basically they are squonked and vaped the same if you don't insist on having them soaked.

My cartomizer that was pictured at the beginning of this thread is still going strong. The filler is still white. I will post some more pics this coming weekend.
I buy 15 for $21.50 with a free drip tip and free shipping. Right here:

The path of least resistance is still the open air in the tube inside the polyfill - the second coil will get juiced as well with a blind squonk. The upside of using cartos (single- or dual-coil) is that when you squonk 'em, they fill from the bottom up and the inside out. Both coils will get juiced before the polyfill will.

I use the dc on my grand,woody,woodvil...they work great!:)

Past couple of weeks I've been using dual clear on Woodvils and Resurectors going on Grands. I like the look of my juice with the Woods in a clear carto as the juices are not very light or not very dark. Unlike Karen, even using the no fill first method, my clears don't remain white. In fact they are colored by end of day.

The dual, at 3.7 has a softer vape than the single LR Resurector or Boge. I do prefer the dual at 5 volt but it's just so much more convenient to use the high drain 3.7 batteries. 5 volt NiMH don't last as long, take much longer to charge up. When I'm using the 5 volt I like having three of the little proprietary chargers going so that is more charger/wires clutter to deal with in addition to having to keep up with when they were started charging because the 5v battery chargers and batteries don't have the same overcharge protection that the Li-on based ones do.

Clear don't travel well in a pocket or purse as the tube slips off with little force. I still use them, when going out, but have to be careful about where I put them in purse. The tubes still get knocked "off" but no mess.

From what I have read, the biggest issue with atomizers is the defect rate. Some may last a year, some DOA, some last a few days. At $5-20/each, I don't personally feel like taking that gamble. I love my boge LRs. very consistent. I've used about 50 so far, and only 1 was DOA. I use them on the grand as well as my tank mods. With proper cleaning, I can actually get them to last 2-3 weeks each. At $1-1.40/carto, I can't see a better deal to be had. I get great flavor, lots of hits in between squonking (sp?). They are a work horse.

I love the resurrectors too...they are a great vape too...306 cartos are awesome too...:)

306 cartos stack up very well with Boge's and Resurrectors (2.0) The big difference for me was the heat, bought the 306 carto drip tip, it is short( the one from nhaler) and would get hot to the lips but in every other way the 306 carto was a toss up with Boge and Resurrector. Hope this helps.

I decided to try the resurrectors after reading/watching some reviews. put in an order just now. can't wait to see how they compare to boges!

I just got a box in yesterday, have not tried them yet. Still trying to get my boges to last like Karen does :(

If your really used to the boge the smoktech will taste off IMO.

I like the heat and vapor from the 1.7Ω but the taste is not a good IMO.
If I had started on those the boge might taste off though.
Each mfg (filler) has a different taste and it gets some taking used to.

I have some smoktech 1.7 here but I hardly ever use them.
Good luck, some people think they are the best carto out there.
