Just a heads up, if they haven't fixed the unscrewing of the deck issue, you guys are going to HATE this rta. I have to freeze mine every time I want to refill it, because removing the deck is almost impossible due to the o-rings around the deck (which can be removed - but then you can't adjust the juice flow.) Every time I take it apart, it gets harder to take apart the next time. Tread carefully, guys! It hasn't even been released yet officially, and mine has already been replaced by the Aromamizer RDTA. Seen the same complaints from others on Reddit, too. It's definitely not just my device.

The Zephyrus is like that and it's still my favorite RTA right now.

Just get a small precision screwdriver and stick in through the airflow holes to hold the base firm while you twist the tank off, simple as that.

@Tommy1977 FT does have it.

That technique doesn't work, as most times, you end up unscrewing the chimney from the top cap (causing the glass to come loose and juice to pour out if it's still full). Remember, the Goliath has multiple sections. Chimney screws into the top cap locking in the glass, then the chimney base screws onto the deck/juice-flow control rings. Zephyrus you mentioned doesn't have juice flow control ring section. And no knurling is there to help you twist off the right section, as the v1 had. That section on the v1 that you could grab a hold of (and had no o-rings on the base to seal it/lock it essentially) would have made all the difference.

Trust me. Serious design flaw. Just now, I ended up unscrewing the chimney from the top cap and had to wash all the juice off the chimney (messed up my wicks too) so I could get a good hold on it, and twist the chimney hard enough to cause it to buckle the rest of the base (juice flow control pieces lock it into place). Even with my small hands, you just can't grip it. Even with latex gloves/freezing it, it's hit and mud on which section will actually unscrew.

What is clear is they are missing is a knurled juice flow control ring from the V1 so it's easier to grip. Check it out on reddit. I think it's mentioned on the review here too, from Bloke. All one could hope is they fixed the o-ring issue around the base because it's damn near impossible to work with quickly.

The Don's video review talks a bit about this issue in his look at the v2.

I timed it earlier - took me 38 mins to fill it up properly. 1/10 times it unscrews the way it's supposed to. The rest, the chimney unscrews from the top cap making a huge mess. What I then have to do is, when desperate for time, take pliers to the chimney and twist as hard as I can to pop the juice control rings off. HUGE PITA.

I still use it because it vapes incredibly well. But after trying the Aromamizer RTDA (mine just got here today) - it's just not worth the hassle. It breaks my heart to say that, it really does. I genuinely feel like no one wanted this to be great as much as me lol. I'm a huge Youde fan - but I'm not going to lie about it to you guys. It is what it is.

I REALLY hope they fix the o-ring tolerance because I'm 99.99% certain the problem lies there. Or make it work so there's no need for the o-ring on the base at all. Without the o-ring it screws on/off perfectly, smooth as butter - but then the juice control function no longer works, as it requires that o-ring. IF they took the time to fix this problem, I can't imagine anyone not loving this RTA. It vapes/wicks that well, I can confidently say that.

Maybe the reaso it's taking so long to be released is because they are fixing that problem. One can only hope
I truly could only hope so. I talked to a few other on FB that received them and they also reported it to Youde. So they're definitely aware of it. It really should be an easy fix. A thinner o-ring would more than likely fix the issue a great deal.

I got an email and call today saying that my goliath has shipped. in the voicemail the guy phrased it "the goliath v2s have FINALLY arrived and yours will be shipped out today" lol. I pre-ordered mine at evcigarettes.com. Hope it was worth the almost three month wait when I could've spent 20$ more and gotten the silverplay v2 a month ago. im pretty sure its gonna be sweet. im wondering if it will have enough capacity to last a whole shift at work or if it will just replace my SP V1 as my playing video games atty lol

I posted this in another thread but feel it is more appropriate here.
I just received mine in the mail. First impressions make you want to scream. Why is the chimney designed this way??? The build is more of a medium difficulty. Long hits still end up dry but for my first build I do not fault the tank. I am terrified to remove the base as it may pour liquid everywhere so I'll wait on that until it's out. Once it's build though vapor production is outstanding. Tons and tons and tons of vapor. Flavor is very decent for the amount of air flow and clouds but I won't say it's the best....but still nice. All in all when out together this tank lives up to the hype and then some. Is it perfect? No far from it. Threads IMO suck and the design is terrible. I now see why people hate refilling the tank. Again these are just very very first impressions with my time with the tank so far limited to about 30 minutes. I'll update back here once I've had a chance to really dive in and play.

Edit: turns out for mine filling the tank raises no problems at all. I am able to remove the base and refill without any issue it seems the issue I have however is when the base comes off the RBA portion is left in the tank and no way to remove it. Not sure how to remove it. It seems like you either have one or their other problem. Again more play time will tell but so far I am very impressed when it is working and less than impressed by the design and challenge such simple tasks such as refilling or removing the RBA raise.

That's how my early sample model is too. The coil section would stay in the tank sometimes. The issue with not being able to take the tank apart and unscrewing the chimney from the top cap - that issue didn't start immediately. That started after 3rd/4th time I refilled it and just progressively got worse with each time I took it apart (to the point where I literally can't get it apart, at all, anymore. I'd have to take a vice to it now). I'm not tying to be negative, just want to inform ya! :)

Well, all these issues coming up sucks on many levels. You would think that just once..................what the h e double match sticks am I thinking. Version 2.1 is probably already in line for production. UD will break an arm patting themselves on the back for fixing all the issues in the V2!!!!!

I had really looked forward to this one as the v1 is a good tank, when you remember to position the coils just so.

Honestly I have taken it apart now 6 times. I'm not saying that some won't be hard or it won't get harder but as of now it seems fine. I'll still say not the best tank design and the treads to kinda suck but man the flavor and vapor production when wicked properly is outstanding. I do recommend the tank with the caveat that you understand the possible downfalls.

not bad at all. Goliath V2 by UD on the new sigelei 75w TC. Might be my new work set up. Airflow is great and its an incredibly good looking tank imho. big clouds. the juice im using in it is pretty crappy so I cant really speak towards flavor. filling my tank is fine. I can see why people hate the tolerance of that o-ring in there tho! I probably got lucky with an annoying, yet (so far) workable one. it does spit juice a lil bit at wattages above like 50w with this build. any advice to minimize that? its 7 wrap 24ga 2.5mm ID with ko gen do wicked pretty snugly. overall I really like it tho. worth the 35$ but maybe not the 3 month wait lol

I've watched several videos and the way I built mine was to have the tip of the wick just barely sit in the juice wells. I even cut the wick at a slight angle such that just the tip is in the well ;).... I also aligned the top of the coil with the top of the post. With this build I have yet to have any spitting or dry hits. Nothing but vape nirvana :)

Got mine from VapeNW yesterday and man is this thing SWEET! Not having any of the prior mentioned troubles at all. Course I've only used the pre-built coil so far but it works spectacularly. Was clean right out of the box, filling has been a non-issue with needle tips. I do make a habit of closing the JC after filling, insert the base, turn upright and adjust the JC, and she blows massive clouds. Learned that tightening down the base completely caused the juice control to be hard to adjust, but after a couple of refills it's working perfectly. Threads seem very smooth and not crunchy. Have had absolutely no leakage what-so-ever. Using it on a MVP 3 Pro @ 36w with the 0.5 ohm dual coil & 80 VG with juice control set 1/2 way & air control wide open. Not a single dry hit nor any spitting. It has so far been fantastic! Only con is that she sucks the juice, but I can definitely live with that! If they could figure out a way to make a convenient top fill she'd be a true game changer....!!!

Edit: Bumped up to 41W / 4.5V and the flavor and clouds are Massive!
