Young june has PWM, the l-rider doesn't. Between the two, I prefer the Young june. As the battery voltage decreases, the l-rider can't hold the voltage you have set. The young june with PWM does a better job of maintaining the voltage you set over the life of the battery. JMHO of course, I'm sure other will chime in.

Yep i prefer the YJ also,because it uses PWM.I have not had a single problem with my device since i have had it other than having to adjust the center pin.

EDIT: I do,however,have a LT2 coming to replace my dated YJ.

I have 3 Lavatube V2 from Volcano and it has become my primary PV, the YJ was great but was tuned to Vavg instead of Vrms. With the Lavatube V2 what you set it what you get. You'll love it.
