Welcome Expat. I would love to see NZ but unfortunately I don't like to fly. A cruise would be cool.(Not on a sail boat though)
I dislike flying more and more, what with all the security stuff these days. I was actually flying on 9/11. between Auckland NZ and LAX. Our flight had to turn around, so we all woke up back in NZ again. I did give it another try on 16/11, and it was not too bad. Every trip since then though, it gets more and more annoying.

Expat...because I am always from someplace else. Been on the go around the planet since I was 17, and I am *cough* older than that now.
The avatar is a NZ thing, that is where I as before I moved here. Kia Kaha. Stand strong. I learned a little Maori while I was there. I really miss the place *sigh*

Thanks Lisa66 and Fudgey...I used to drive across Auckland to get to work, right by three extinct volcanoes. Funny what just becomes part of the landscape after a while.

Well.....I have had 2 different user names here. The first one was Fudge Monkey, that is what my Grandpa always called me. I got that nickname because I loved my grandma's fudge and would ask her to make it when we went to visit....even in the summer time

Those are amazing Tiny! I do dollhouses, I've got one on the go now that I am going to be making little quilts and things for
NZ is gorgeous in the summer, but can be a bit miserable in the winter ..just like anywhere I guess. I was there for 17 years, and I've been here just over two.
It is a change, that's for sure!
