1. If you are not mechanically inclined, first buy a basic mod (for longer lasting battery power) that is not too expensive yet ranks high on this forum.

I consider myself mechanically inclined, but it did take a lot of time and energy to build and fine tune my first mod (flashlight with 18500 battery- one battery lasts ALL DAY) and felt I was under the gun because i thought that the 2 510 batteries were going to run out too quickly since one was always needing to be charged as soon as the other ran out. Although my primary vaping is done off of the bigger battery, I always use the 510 batteries every day and it has been 2 solid months and they are still going strong today(fingers crossed!). ALSO,If I had to do it all again, I would not have spent the $ on a starter set--I would have bought a simple inexpensive battery mod and spent the rest on buying at least 5 atomizers. I recommend the 510's since they have really delivered like the reviews on here have stated numerous times

2. Mix your own juice.

There are some pretty good flavors out there, the best of course cost more. I mix my own and can mix up flavors that taste a lot better then the ones I have bought (for the most part). I would rather spend the money for mod parts than for juice any day, especially with some vendors eLiquids tasting too chemical-like (e.g. it is not the actual nut extract, but is a chemical that has a somewhat nutty aftertaste, etc...)

3. ALWAYS BUY AT LEAST ONE BOTTLE OF JUICE FROM THE SELLER WITH YOUR FIRST PV PURCHASE!

The 5 Marl 18 cartridges that came with my first eCig tasted the worst of any juice that I have used since. It was only by sheer grit that I did not pick up an analog while awaiting the juice to come from another vendor (I think this is primarily with the pre-filled from China cartridges. They are wrapped in cellophane and although they are sealed, they may be older and there is air in there that allows the eJuice to age quickly)<<<My opinion;)

+1 on the Blue Foam Mod!!!!!! :):):):):)

I would say to order a passthrough because you can vape while your batteries charge and the last thing you want when your trying to learn how to vape is stop and wait for batteries. Number 2 by a sample pack so you have at least 30ml of juice on hand but if you get 1 30ml bottle like I did and you don't like it, like I did you won't be stuck vaping juice you don't like while waiting for some more to be delivered, like I did. Last, if you have a problem don't just quit go on the forum and ask for help. I was going to quit as soon as I started but I got help on the forum and I'm glad I did.

I'd have to agree with the posts that say research upon research is the key. I would also add don't believe everything you read. Just because you find a thread that says one thing it doesn't make that thing completely true. Find as many different threads as you can about the same thing and then make your own judgments based on the differing opinions you have read.

You can find adapters for almost any of the most popular models these days and doing so will help you to try multiple different types of setups without having to spend the money for multiple starter kits.

Great tips here!

If you are trying to replace analogs with vaping, take your time! One good way to do this is to use your PV in place of an analog for various habitual breaks. If you smoke in the car on the way to work, vape there instead. Replace that after-meal smoke with a vape. Even if you don't need to, try replacing that smoke outside on the porch with a vape outside. Try gradually replacing all your smoking habits with vaping. That way you don't feel like you're missing anything quite so much.
